The Fernbank Museum is very small. You can walk through all the exhibition rooms in one hour. And many exhibitions are not interesting enough to make me feel the price I paid is worthy.

The dino video is a low-resolution animation using outdated 3D technology.
The Stegosaurus in the animation seems sprained all his/her four ankles.

Besides, the forest is under renovation so that you can't walk the entire woods. Worst of all, they did not mention the forest path renovation thing on their website (at least I did not see that). I found that out when I stood in front of the fence that afternoon.

We went to Fernbank to attend the wedding of two of our favorite millenial friends. The wedding couldn't have been in a better setting. The ceremony was held outside on what I would call the promenade deck on the back of the Fernbank center. The families had chosen a very skillful pastor to conduct the wedding. His focus was on the importance of the commitment of each other to their partner. He knew the strengths of each partner's personality which he used to tell how each will bring a true compliment to the partner.

As soon as the ceremony was over the Fernbank serving staff was handing out wonderfully prepared appetizers from mini-cheeseburgers, shrimp, chicken-on-a-stick & cheese empanadas. Several beers, wines & whiskies were also available. I drank Stella Artois with Dewar's Scotch boilermakers while my wife chose tequila sunrises for refreshment. The catering staff was very accommodating & extremely cordial.

I would highly recommend the Fernbank for a wedding or anniversary event. They just do everything so correct.

For a city the size of Atlanta this “museum” is very disappointing. The gardens are lovely but the rest is just large spaces without much in the way of education, exhibits, or planning. The exhibits there are quite dated. Save your money and visit the High museum. This has the feel of a few rooms thrown together and I wouldn’t call this a science museum or natural history museum by any stretch. I’m spoiled a bit having grown up near the Smithsonian but Baltimore far outperforms Atlanta on museums as well.

Great for kids and dinosaurs entusiasths. Lovely outdoors. Kids can play outside in a tree house without the danger of getting lost. Third floor has an inside play area that kids from 1-12 will love.

Excelente para ninos que aman los dinosaurios. Alrededores hermosos. Los nenes pueden jugar en un area parecido a una casa en el arbol, sin peligro a perderse. En el tercer piso hay un area de juegos que los chicos de 1 hasta 12 anos aproximadamente les encantara.

After looking at their site and reading other reviews, we were expecting a much more intriguing experience. The silk road exhibit was well done, but everything else was well below expectations.
