When we visited the Fernbank it was raining so we were unable to utilize the outdoor activities. It would have enhanced the experience. It is a good sized museum but is more sparse with exhibits than I expected. What is housed there is well thought out. The volunteers here were real assets. I learned from one of them that the floor was made from sediments that showed fossils in it. Not something you would have looked down and noticed. There are large dinosaurs to greet you both inside and out. They show the massive scale of these animals. There was an exhibit with hands-on learning. From bubbles to perceptions with your eyes. There are wonderful Imax productions. The Imax cost extra.
