“A refreshing change from a standard museum”

This is a whole area, streets, houses, churches, momuments that you can wander around. It has a distinct feeling of peacefulness.

“Excellent place to visit and see the clothes the clothes he traveled with.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

Seeing the Muesum was specktacular , and the quantity of clothes he traveled with ,he always traveled very lightly. There was also one dress of his wife , where islaid to rest is also something to see, as amatter of they are both resting the same place. I,ll advise any one that go too George ia should really ,really make it their buisness to visit.

“Not to be missed”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

Important historical site with excellent information on Dr. King and the civil rights movement. Make sure to get a ticket from the old firehouse to tour the home in which Dr. King grew up. The National Park Service has done an excellent job in developing the site.

“Told an important story.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

The film at the visitors center was a good overview of MLK's life. We came away with a new appreciation for the man after seeing the displays and videos. To see everything requires some walking. We came after visiting the Jimmy Carter museum and only then found out there is a 1.5 mile walking path between two venues which we would have enjoyed on the beautiful fall day we visited.

“Could have been so much better!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

The facilities are nice, but the tours and displays were of inferior quality. They have such a moving subject, and I was not moved or inspired. A hugely wasted opportunity.
