Great walking country with river running thru' property.Lovely pool (heated) with first class rooms.
We had first class dinner there and the breakfast was one of the best we have ever had, home made breads, jams, masses of fruite, fresh orange juice plus lots more.
This hotel was the highlight of our tour thru' southern Spain.
We are from Vancouver, Canada and met up with our English cousins who have a second home in Spain. They had been to Molino Del Santo for lunches in the past but had never stayed there. They asked us if we wanted to take the train to see the countryside and stay at this lovely hotel. We were so impressed from the moment we stepped onto the grounds. The rooms were of a high standard. The bathroom was clean and spacious and our private balcony was lovely. We took a day trip to Ronda by taxi and returned by train. The hotel had complimentary tea, coffee and cake and we sat by the pool and relaxed. Our two evening meals were enjoyable as was the setting. We will return to this lovely oasis on our next trip to Spain.
As soon as we arrived at Molino del Santo, I knew that we had come to the right place. The setting is idyllic and the standard of service was exemplary througout our stay. We had booked a family room, which was had plenty of room for us and our two children, was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Meals on the terrace were pleasant and relaxed. My only regret is that we didn't stay for longer.
Just returned from another short break at Molino del Santo in Benaojan just outside Ronda. We have been visiting this hotel since about 1998 when we were fist recommended it by our neighbours here in Gibraltar. The best thing we find is that we know what to expect when we go and that is great food, very clean rooms, air con and a fridge for your milk!! As faithful returnees we are greeted with a hearty welcome from practically all the staff (we have been going for so long) since may have been there from the first time we went. This is a very good sign as happy staff means a happy stay for you. My favorite desert is the copa de casa con paises el cognac and although not always on the menu i still order it anyway and it still gets served!!
Don't be put off by the 2** rating as this in noway reflects the stay you will have. We would rather stay here than a 4* in Ronda so that is saying a lot about the time you will have. Half board is a good choice, you won't need lunch after you have had a hugh breakfast and afternoon coffee and cake but if you do there is plenty of choice.
It is our first choice of places to stay when we want to chill out for the weekend and do nothing. Enjoy
