“Peaceful retreat with a touch of luxury”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2013

A surprising find tucked away behind the small village train station, with Spanish style rooms set in a beautiful garden on different levels, alongside a gently rushing stream. Molino has a very personal feel with the whole team making each guest feel welcome. We were helped to engage with the surroundings with excellent information on walks, guided and otherwise, trips on the train and to nearby Ronda. The design of the buildings meant that my room stayed shady and cool but if wanting to laze in the sun there was plenty of space around the pool and garden. A particular highlight for me was the innovative and delicious food.

We stayed at the hotel in September and had a lovely relaxing time, weather perfect. The pool/garden areas are extremely well maintained and even though the hotel was fully booked there were plenty of sun loungers. The reception staff were very helpful. We were a little less impressed with the food than the other reviewers and would have preferred a more spanish influenced menu, the execution was a bit hit and miss too. That said the restaurant was very popular with residents and visitors, but meant having to book early in the day if you wanted a table for lunch or dinner.

In summary a lovely hotel.

A very relaxing place in beautiful surroundings and yet within ten minutes drive of Ronda.First class service and excellent food. Staff were very friendly and helpful with local information. Most had been there for many years which explains how successful a good team can be and how important the Molino is for the local community.

This hotel offers a fitting base to explore and enjoy the stunning surrounds. The excellent 5 star service extends beyonds the hotel by offering guided walks through some amazing countryside. A walk with owner Andy and adorable Eddie (glad I got that the right way round) allows you to experience the beauty and tranquility of the area whilst also learning some of the history.
An excellent place to re-charge the batteries and realise there are still places where the 'rat race' hasn't touched.
Thank you to all the staff for making our week with you so special.

This was only our 3rd visit and so are relatively inexperienced visitors but we can confirm
that everything was as it should be.

Sunny clear weather, light winds & a beautiful 29 degrees every day made this a perfect time of year for walking or just relaxing.

Attentive & friendly staff, helpful management and such a change to see somewhere being properly managed & well maintained.

We spent 11 nights at Molino and mostly dined in their delightful restaurant.
Even at this time of year it was most comfortable eating dinner out on the terrace.

Room Tip: Seemed to be a few more mossies than in June so worth packing the Deet and one of those plug-in repe...

Molino del Santo was beautiful. I was here with my Fiance, family and friends for my daughters wedding in September. The garden was perfect for the wedding ceremony. Everything went to plan, the setting was just lovely. The staff were so helpful, it seemed nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious. We ate at the hotel most of the time and we were never dissapointed. Andy and Pauline are excellent at making everyone welcome here at Molino. The hotel room that we had was spotlessly clean, cool, and comfortable with an attractive decor. We had the best time ever. We would go back again as we have the most wonderful memories of Molino del Santo. The location of Molino is spectacular to say the least and dare I say the icing on the cake!! it has to be one of the most beautiful in Spain.

I have just returned from this beautiful hotel where I went on a Yoga Retreat and what a special place. Everything is 5 star, the location, the room, the food, the service, Andy & Pauline the owners, Paco the Receptionist, Eddie, (Andy's dog), the pool etc etc. I will definately be returning and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: All the rooms are lovely.
