A gem with an attentive host and hostess with wonderful staff. Cosey room and excellent kitchen. The outside courtyard with the sound of running water a perfect setting. We were a party of just under 40 guests and all left with the same opinion "WE SHALL RETURN "

Thank George G

On recommendation we took the train from La Linea- San Roque, took around an hour with stunning mountain views. Restaurant [also hotel] is a short walk from the station, its an old olive mill coverted many years ago by the English owners. Sadly rainy weather meant we had to eat indoors the outside seating looked lovely even in the drizzle. Inside seating was just fine in a bright airy room with pleasant homemade art of the walls, the welcome was warm and friendly.
Resturant prides itself on organic/local sourcing where possible, the menu was full of interesting local dishes combined with grills. There was also a childrens menu which was just fine for our 9yo
The menu changes monthly with a 3 course selection at a fixed price if that floats your boat.
What followed was a gastronomic delight - between us for starterswe had gambas pil pil - a staple but very good, pork belly with tempura black pudding and scallops - wonderful flavours and textures, also broadbeans with blackpudding, bacon and apple again vert unusual but very nice.
Mains also excellent from the pork with creamy mash and spicy lentils to the confit of leg of
lamb served with spinach - only disappointment was the lamb croquette which really didnt add much would have been better as a potato variant. We managed a couple of the desserts the lemon tart was sweet and zesty and the apple compote was sweet and light.
The service was generally good although one waiter could have been abit more attentive and smiley.
The restaurant was full on the Sunday we went so book in advance.
Overall good setting, decent service but the standout is the food, some of the best we have had in our 4 years living in Gibraltar,do yourself a favour catch the train and spend a lazy afternoon dining at Molino del Santo - you won't regret it :)

Amazing setting, worth the drive! Very idyllic.
The menu has a big variety, we ate here twice and both times loved it very much. If you would like to have Paella remember to pre-order.

I'm so pleased you enjoyed your meal so much that you came twice.
We think the setting is idyllic too - the rushing wáter seems like a miracle - particularly during the hot summers!

Wonderful location on the bank of a rushing torrent in a little valley near Ronda. Large inviting terrace makes for great al fresco dining. Friendly staff and really tasty fresh food. Been here twice now and the standards remain high.

I ate a fresh and imaginative lunch alone at an outdoor table beside the river which ran the former mill referred to in this establishment's name. While using local ingredients, the selections were imaginative and creative. (Andalusian food in general has a tendency to be repetitive, if filling and hearty.) The staff kept an eye on my needs without hovering. Upstairs was an interesting art exhibition, and in the bar area I perused a nice selection of artisan wares. The place is really pretty, the food excellent and I look forward to returning with my friends and family.
