“Great food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2011

The staff was very courteous and our waitress could not have been more helpful or personable. She helped with our dinner and desert selections, checked back often and no one in our party of five was disappointed.

“Great food, ambience, value and choice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2011

Tucked away, unpretentious (I was sadly not dressed an appropriately as I would have liked, but booked in advance without seeing the place) but they didn't mind at all. Fine food, wide choice, reasonable priced - what more could you ask for?

Wise to book in advance; you won't regret it.

“A surprising little gem of a restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2011

The Prince and the Pauper is tucked away down a quiet street in Woodstock and you have to look for it but once you find it , it is well worthwhile. It gets busy , so a reservation is a good idea. There are many food options, including a table d'hote for a fixed price and a Bistro menu as well as a la carte. items are interchangeable between the menus, too. We ate very well off the Bistro menu and were impressed with the quality of the food and with the charming service. It also takes reservations until 9-00pm, which past many locals' bedtimes in these parts!
