We stayed at the Woodstock Inn and after $45 for two buffet breakfasts, we knew we needed to find a better breakfast place! We found Mountain Creamery and went there every day thereafter. The food is simple but delicious and the staff is incredibly friendly. On our second day we also had lunch and ice cream, which were both delicious. It looks a lot like your average diner but don't miss this one, especially for the value! It's probably the least expensive place to eat in the area and the quality of food is not sacrificed.

Not much to look at, but what matters is the quality of the food and staff. We enjoyed fresh and plentiful breakfasts during our visit. A big step up from typical diner fare.

You're in Vermont. You want some ice cream. The solution is easy: Walk to Mountain Creamery. Order the maple walnut ice cream. (You're in Vermont, right?)
You really, really need to do this for yourself, and your positive mental health!!!

I'm going get straight to the point. Last year in a 5 wk period, I ventured to your basement parlor 2x a wk for the absolute best banana ice cream EVER made of the planet. This year you did not offer it on your menu. :0( in a 4 wk visit, I never bought ice cream from your shop.
I chose buying store package ice cream from Walpole. Seriously, bring back the homemade banana ice cream. Not offering it is a real travesty.

We came here every morning during our visit to Woodstock. We have three young boys and it was their favorite meal of the day. The food is excellent with some adventurous options I didn't expect from a small diner -- homemade chorizo, homemade hash, apple sausages that were really fantastic! The staff were friendly and offered us coloring books, whipped cream and homed strawberry jam. The only downside -- it's kind of pricey. Breakfast for five people will cost you about $80 with tax and tip.
