The bentley burger was fantastic!!!! Cooked very well and right to order (med rare), service was OK though fast enough for sure. Great atmosphere and good beer selection. We will be back!

“Enjoy our visit every year!”
Reviewed December 29, 2013 via mobile

After many years of visiting Woodstock for our winter vacation, one tradition remains unchanged -lunch at Bentleys! The nachos were amazing and worth the trip! Menu is great for teens and adults and atmosphere is relaxing. Our only complaint was the time it took to get our food -even our server was frustrated. I was glad I have teenagers and not little ones-we were there 90 minutes for lunch. Will still return next year -it's a family favorite!

“Problem solved - feelings even better about Bentley's”
Reviewed December 26, 2013

This is getting to be a tradition each Christmas. My family comes to visit and we will walk around Woodstock, VT to take in the Christmas decorations. We stop at some of the stores just to keep up the mood of the day. Usually we pick up some odds and ends in town to eat during the evening. We stop at Bentley's for our lunch. We noticed that we have had the same waiter for three years running. The food is good and the hustle and bustle of the people coming in with excitement over purchases lends to the fun. We usually sit near a window which gives us a birds eye view of the people walking along the main street.

This year we had a slight problem with one of the orders and the way it was handled was the right thing to do without any hassle. The problem was acknowledged and dealt with immediately with no fuss. The manager even came over to my grand-daughter to make sure that things were okay. The way this situation was handled made our feelings about Bentley's even better.

The great decorations on the ceiling were lovely to photograph.

“Cranky service, wrong and cold food, and lack of planning.”
Reviewed December 21, 2013

We went to lunch before the Wassail parade. They should have planned for a busy day. Apparently they did not. The waiter was cranky and overwhelmed. Most of our group did not get what they ordered - wrong soup, wrong sandwich and most of the hot food was cold. Waited a good half hour for soup and half a sandwich. Then it was the wrong soup on one plate and the wrong sandwich on another. Waiter constantly blamed the understaffed kitchen - again lack of planning. As for the food - not to many ways to mess us a turkey BLT but the French onion soup was cold and tasted canned. Apparently the corn chowder wasn't much better. They need some Gordon Ramsey tough love.

“Terrible experience!!”
Reviewed December 14, 2013 via mobile

This is the first time I've ever written a review but this place was so bad I had to. First when we arrive and ask about sitting at the bar while we wait for a table the hostess makes a comment about the bartender being grumpy. Once we were seated we waited 20 minutes and had to flag down the manager to have someone come over and acknowledge us. When he asks a nearby waiter about coming over since we had been waiting so long the waiter shouts back that "everyone has been waiting." He finally comes over after another 10 minutes and is so rude! Doesn't apologize for the long wait and acts like we were an inconvenience to him. My friends tried to order sandwiches and asked to have them without cheese however the waiter said that wasn't possible because all the sandwiches are pre-made. A few minutes later the rude waiter sends over another waitress who tells us they're out of tuna. Our one friend decides to order a turkey sandwich instead. After at least 30 minutes the waiter brings 4/5 dishes and tells our tuna/turkey sandwich friend that he has "nothing to give him because the kitchen is out of food." We thought he was joking at first so we asked the waitress that stopped by earlier and she confirmed that. So our friend then had to go elsewhere to get something to eat. He wasn't missing out though because the food wasn't even good. On our way out my friend spoke to the manager about the rude waiter and the fact that our other friend was told there wasn't anything for him to eat (while the waiter is bringing out everyone's burgers) and the manager didn't seem to care at all! I had high hopes for this place but it was awful!!!
