I admit, I am a leaf-peeper. My seasons consist of sun and fog so the thought of a true autumn, with it's kaleidoscope of colors, hot apple cider, and flannel everything is very appealing. I wanted to feel the crisp air on my cheeks and hear the crunch of the fallen leaves, but didn't want to deal with the hassle of planning a road trip on my own.
By sheer luck, I found Vermontology and it turned out to be the BEST way to experience Vermont. I booked the 5-day small-group tour with Natalia, who is simply an amazing tour guide and even more awesome person. Natalia is so warm and friendly, the week felt like we were old friends catching up on long lost time.
Natalia has done her research with creating the itinerary for each day, complete with a New England B&B experience. Vermontology integrates a little bit of history, a little bit of food, a little bit of nature, and a whole lot of local flavor. Seeing peak foliage along the Mad River Valley and the golden leaves of Smuggler's Notch is an experience I'll never forget. We explored back roads, small towns, working farms, and popped into local shops. Places I would not have known if traveling on my own.
Vermontology shows true Vermont through the eyes of a local, who loves where she lives and has the heart to share it with others. Highly recommend booking a tour.
