We have stayed there many times while the inn was owned by the Comins' and the inn was warm and welcoming. The decor has been changed and is awful from its "urban" style dining room to the loss of the sitting room which is now the "tavern". I remember playing backgammon in the sitting room on a cold and snowy day with a huge fire blazing. The easy-going hospitality of the owners made you feel at home. We never saw the owners on this 3 day stay. Our room is advertised as having a jacuzzi tub. A rather permanent looking sign told us it was "temporarily out of order". Having stayed in that room before I knew about tub and chose that room for that feature. The room was cold, the hot water took 10 to 15 minutes to come up and did not last long. The food was unprofessional. My husband ordered the red snapper and everything on his plate was beige. It did not look appealing. It's true that you cannot go back.
