We had an excellent winter weekend getaway during the holidys to the beautiful Blue Horse Inn in Woodstock Vermont. (https:// www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g60897-d13945289-Reviews-The_Blue_Horse_Inn-Woodstock_Vermont.html). We have been visiting Woodstock for decades but this is the first time we had opportunity to stay at this beautiful, warm and welcoming inn. This is an incredibly comfortable inn right on the town square of beautiful Woodstock. The rooms are very comfortable; the innkeepers Jill and Tony Amato have attended to every detail in decor; the fires burn bright in every fireplace throughout the inn; and Jill and Tony prepare and serve a sumptuous 3-course breakfast for their guests. Jill is especially attentive to allergies and food intolerance and goes out of her way to make sure guests are comfortable and very well attended to. She went out of her way to make special treats for my gluten free needs and also to de-feather our room for feather allergies. This is a great place to stay and we will definitely return. We highly recommend this Inn to anyone wanting to stay in the heart of Woodstock!

We splurged on a quality long weekend getaway by staying at this wonderful inn, and have no regrets. Jill and Tony acquired the property just a few years ago and it's clearly a labor of love for them. The building is beautiful, elegant while comfortable, and the proprietors just the right amount of friendly. While it was not a particularly busy weekend, the inn was quiet and we actually saw little of the other guests. Jill and the breakfast cook went all out in their creative, beautiful, and delicious offerings. Quite the treat. We didn't have the winter weather I had hoped for, but there is plenty to do for a long weekend within a half hour's drive. My wife and I would both love to return.

My husband and I stayed at the Blue Horse Inn between Christmas and New Years... I really did not know much about it or the area, except for what I read on trip advisor. We were so thrilled when we arrived to this charming inn. We were greeted upon arrival by Jill, who checked us in, showed us around and answered any and all questions we had. She could not have been more engaging. The rooms are just lovely...so comfortable and beautifully furnished. There were fireplaces going on the main floor...very cozy and inviting. Steps to town and what a quaint Vermont town it is...couldn't be prettier. We met Tony the next morning at breakfast and he was as welcoming as Jill. As wonderful as everything was, the breakfast was the icing on the cake...just delicious, homemade and 5 star in every way. We can't wait to make a return visit! You will not be disappointed...truly a GEM!

It is clear and The Blue Horse Inn is a true passion project for Jill and Tony our hosts for a one night stay. Jill called to make sure I could get to the hotel and find parking before we arrived, she greeted us and gave us a tour of the building then graciously upgraded our room. The Inn itself is a beautifully restored colonial type building that was perfect for a romantic evening before meeting our friends to ski Killington. Jill gave us dinner recommendations and told us where to go in town. We had a restful night and then the cherry on top was the breakfast the next morning. Pictures do no do justice to our experience. I really recommend this spot - Jill and Tony were the consummate hosts and the property was beautiful.

My friend and I stayed at the Blue Horse Inn over Wassail Weekend and I can't wait to return with my husband. I booked the Blue Horse Inn a year in advance of Wassail Weekend because it was the only inn I could find in Woodstock that had separate beds besides the Woodstock Inn. The room was fabulous - very comfortable for the 2 of us, cozy, great beds, large bathroom. There are several fireplaces and we enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace in the library with a glass of wine every night. The inn is beautifully decorated and there are many places to sit and relax besides your room. I have celiac and Jill and Tony prepared a delicious gluten free breakfast for me. Jill and Tony are terrific and did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I prefer inns over large hotels and have stayed in many in throughout the US and Europe. This is by far one of my favorites and I can't wait to return!
