The food was really great - house grown veggies, nicely presented and cooked meals. BUT the wait for the food was tooooo long, and it was not very busy. The waiter actually said to us, because we did not order drinks and a starter is why our food seems to be taking so long....ummm, hmmm.... We will eat here again but, will instruct the waiter that that is not the way it goes.

We were guests here and hosts upset with service and 2 hr dinner on a Monday night--our pork tenderloin was cooked so much you could hardly cut the medallions which were crisp on the outside--we ate a lot of bread--this former RockResorts place is now catering to a jeans and t-shirt gang who may want the best orbitz has to offer--what a shame in a beautiful little town!

Our meal was nice, and service was friendly and efficient. We had the salmon and the filet mignon. The steak was very well-prepared, while the salmon was good but not excellent - a bit bland and unseasoned.

Atmosphere is nice and modern, with good views of the lawn from the window tables. In good weather, seating on the terrace is nice.

All in all, no complaints, but nothing outstanding that would earn an "excellent" rating.

Our dinner was adversely impacted by a very loud group nearby. We should have moved to a more quiet area but stayed put. The food was okay but not up to the quality we would have hoped. The breakfast buffet on the other hand deserves four or five stars - so good and so many options!

The Woodstock Inn is a great place to explore, although I have never stayed there. The Red Rooster is their top restaurant. The food is outstanding, the décor is great and the service matches. Sit outside if possible for great views of the gardens.
