We had a great time sampling the cheese and syrup. Then we bought some to take home! The sugar shack and super-short hike through the trees was informative and interesting.

This was a gorgeous stretch of land with great views and pastures. The cheese sampling was great and the lessons on maple syrup were authentic. Great stop on our tour of Vermont.

Sugarbush is a great little farm where you can see how they make Maple Syrup and taste all their Cheeses and Syrups.plus the drive out from downtown Woodstock passes by SE beautiful houses. Be sure and try the samples and buy some of their cheeses and syrups.

To get to the Sugarbush Farm, one must go through the backwoods of Vermont. It definitely is a working farm. There were just a few animals to pet and I was expecting more. The maple syrup building wasn't monitored so there was no one to answer any questions and it was sort of dark. The view of the surrounding hills was great as we were there in the peak foliage season. I did like the sampling room as I got to sample a number of cheeses, maple syrups, jams, dips, etc. However, I felt their prices were slightly higher than other shops I saw in Vermont. We had visited the Shelburne Farms the previous day and the two working farms are as different as night and day. I would rather see the farm during the maple syrup operation in action.

We toured today in the midst of beautiful fall leaves. The samples were plentiful - cheese and maple syrup. Very good cheese and syrup. An interesting video of the farm operation. A very good (free) attraction.
