We stopped by here on a rainy October day and were glad we did. Delicious cheeses (the sage cheddar was a favorite) and local maple syrup. We stocked up for the trip home.

This was a fun way for us to start our visit in Vermont. We had printed a copy of Sugarbush's webpage which had the directions to the farm so we had no problem finding it. It's at the end of a long country road.

The people were so nice there and very ready to answer all our questions about cheese and syrup. We spent about 45 minutes there which included time listening to a talk on the different cheeses while we were given samples and also a talk on maple syrup as we were given samples of different grades of those.

We watched a short video(8 min), shopped in the store, visited the sugarhouse where the evaporator is kept and took a short walk through the woods where the trees are tapped. The ground was very wet due to a recent rain so we didn't go far.

This was a very enjoyable experience and made us feel like we were really seeing part of true Vermont.

Having grown up on a farm in Pennsylvania it was a delight to visit a working farm with individuals who work very hard for a living; the learning experience of how they make maple sugar was great. Although not part of the tour it was extremely interesting the operation of cutting, splitting and the autoload of the firewood needed in the process of making the syrup. Prices for the cheese and syrup were very reasonable.

As stated the drive is very interesting and beautiful in the fall. A photographer's delight.

We were pleasantly surprised by the generous cheese tasting at Sugarbush. After riding our bikes here from Woodstock, it was such a treat. The staff were all super friendly too!

Worth traveling on gravel paths to get to - the Sugarbush Farms has great tastings of their cheddar cheese and maple syrup which you can then buy in the store. The store also carries items from other local Vermont producers. We enjoyed walking around and seeing the farm animals and sugar house.
