Our 1-year old daughter loved the barns and carriage ride. The staff was extremely friendly. Next time I'd like to spend more time exploring the museum

“Great American farm experience!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2013

Visited with cousins and kids in October 2013.

We had planned a drive from Boston to Vermont to see Fall colors and also for my lovely nieces to see the Farm. And exactly as expected the Billings farm was a great way to spend the sunny day. The farm people are very courteous and nice, and show around the animals (cows, sheep, horses) who you can even touch and feed. There were several activities for the kids like playing with wooden toys, churning a wooden machine to extract apple cider, making apple ice-cream, eating apple hung on string from the tree without using hands, and even dancing! The organic farm produce was also on display - I loved the 20+ varieties of pumpkin/squash and 40+ varieties of apples on display at the museum. There's a nice souvenir shop one can pick up stuff from.

A great history lesson for the young and old. Very pretty and things for every one of all ages. Hands on learning of the farm and how it works and tours and a movie on the farm, mansion and the farm house.

“Nice experience”

I went here on a Saturday in Dec when they are open for the Christmas season. I got to tour the farmhouse and barns. I will definitely go back in the summer when you can also tour the main house across the street. There is a lot of history here that crosses North America. The film they show should not be missed as it gives the history of the family and their impact on the country. The folks who work here are very informative, friendly and helpful. This is a working dairy farm with cows, sheep, horses and chickens. ALL the animals are very well loved and cared for as evidenced by the sheep and chickens who respond to human voices and love the attention. There are many activities scheduled throughout the day which makes it a great place to take your kids. A definite must visit if you are in the area.
