“lovely spot for a wedding”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2013

I was at Billings Farm for a wedding this fall so my experience might be a bit different than most, but I can say that it is a really lovely, well-kept working farm in a gorgeous setting. It's very close to the center of Woodstock and definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. I understand there is an array of exhibits available as well in the museum portion which I did not get to see.

“Great learning experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2013

The grounds are so well kept. You get to learn things about farm animals. There was a quilt show one of the times we went. The history of the farm and area was very interesting. Great place to take the family.

A benefit of staying at the Woodstock Inn is admission to this National Park museum. The exhibits are informative and educational. Staff is very helpful and caring.

“Outstanding, beautiful, rich in history!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2013

Visited with my husband and 6 year old on a Friday. There were several school field trips going on but it wasn't too overcrowded. Grounds are lovely, buildings well kept, employees are friendly and knowledgable, and the exhibits are excellent. Check their website for the daily schedule, it varies from day to day. We heard a talk on chickens, sheep, and cows, and learned a lot about the history of the farm and the lovely state of Vermont. The main building houses a wide variety of displays of farming tools, articles, and innovations of life during the times of Marsh and Billings. There are apple trees, and the surrounding mountains, grasses, trees and land are just breathtaking. We enjoyed our visit very much and highly recommend!

“Great museum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2013

Was super surprised what a wonderful museum this is. If you enjoy history this is a must see place. My wife & I went by ourselves as we were staying in a nearby B&B and were looking for something to do. Next time we'll bring the kids so they can see what farm life was like 125 yrs ago. Make sure to tour the 1890 farm house and combine this with a tour across the street of the Billings Mansion.
