“Enchanting and relaxing”
Reviewed August 3, 2012

Directions from the airport were spot on and the place easy to find. We were welcomed by our genial hosts Sarah and Kenneth with a lovley and plentiful meal, just what we needed after our flight across. This was our first lunch of many to follow, on the terrace amongst the lemon grove - a peaceful spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner or a peaceful evening tipple. Our hosts were very knowledgeable about the area and had loads of ideas for trips out. For those of us who can't live without WIFI, there is a fantastic connection with easy access.
We spent time in the pool area which is lovley and secluded with full sun all day and for those like us, nice shaded areas with relaxing furniture to while the hours away.
Our room had all that we needed with a view and a balcony. The aircon was a godsend and very effective.
Sarah was a fantastic cook, with plentiful supplies being availabe to devour in beautiful surroundings. The walk down to the river through the lemons was a nice way to round off an evening as the sun sets. Fuegoblanco is a place to return to time and time again.

Room Tip: The suite has views on three sides and a balcony. All rooms are ensuite and immaculate.

Fuegoblanco is a Welcoming Accommodation, with lovely roomy on-suit bedrooms. Very peaceful situated where you wake with the song of birds and the scent of orange and lemon blossom.
Ken and Sarah are very welcoming hosts who care about the guests comfort and needs.
Vegetarian, wheat and dairy free diet is no problem to them. In the cold evenings we sat around the lovely warm stove and on the warm sunny day relaxing by the pool. Betsy

Ken and Sarah ensured we were welcomed with hot drinks and whatever we needed after a delayed flight and problems with car booking! This welcome lasted all week. The food, organic and plentful with dairy/wheat free provided with no dilution of choice or flavour, was excellent..

Room lovely, en suite and balcony plus walk in wardrobe. The scent of oranges and lemons is wonderful - not to mention the freshly squeezed orange juice.

But best of all is the welcome, support and care provided by Ken and Sarah. My first visit but not my last,

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent, however 2 have a balcony which is lovely in the morning and in the early ev...

Really enjoyed our visit, Ken and Sarah are wonderfully welcoming, the accommodation is really comfortable, we had a veranda, living room and big bedroom, food is very good, fresh and a great variety of choice for breakfast. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

We spent four days in Fuegoblanco in April and would happily have stayed longer. The house is set in citrus grove and surrounded by a garden with plenty of places to sit and relax. There is a delightful riverside walk which provided us with wonderful birdwatching, and we were serenaded by a very determined cuckoo. The house itself has lovely public rooms decorated with north African and European art. Coffee and tea were available on demand and there was an honesty fridge for cold drinks. Sarah and Kenneth were welcoming and generous hosts with amazing knowledge of local walks. Alora is a great centre with train access to Malaga (35 mins) and beautiful unspoilt scenery in all directions.
Warning: the road to the house is narrow, a small to medium sized car is recommended

We have just spent a very enjoyable week at Fuegoblanco (Stayed April 12 to 19th, travelled as a couple).

We chose Fuegoblanco as a base for walking in the hills to the north/north west of Alora around El Chorro and Ardales and were not disappointed. Both areas are a short drive away and Sarah & Kenneth were very helpful in helping us decide were to walk. There are walking guide books, maps and self guided walking notes available to guests that we found particularly useful.

On our one rainy day we took the train from Alora to Malaga and had a very enjoyable day walking around the old quarter, the new marina and along the coast.

We would recommend Fuegoblanco highly and hope to return again.
