We took a spring holiday at Pri Lenart based on a recommendation and not on a Trip Advisor review.
The whole experience was welcoming and attentive, the hotel was spotless and clean and the food absolutely first class - the new chef Eugene really got into his element in his first week in the hotel and is a "find."
Nothing is too much trouble for Sarah and Keith, although they have to be able to organise and allow for their guests who must present challenges due to the intimacy of the hotel.
No wonder Pri Lenart is booked out now for a long way ahead and we wish the Hoggs all the best and hope they can keep up the amazing pace and effort for some time to come!

Room Tip: Any room is a good room although they are all different.

If you like walking, eating and socialising then this is the place for you. With only 5 bedrooms a max of 10 guests can stay at this hotel, which forms a good number for fun dinner parties. Walks are typically led by Sarah, the proprietor, who guides the group up sometimes quite strenuous paths through gorgeous alpine scenery. Lovely packed lunches and provided and delicious tea and cake are ready at the hotel on the party's return. New chef, Eugine, prepares adventurous canapes and several courses of lovely food, all served with wine, blended for Keith, Sarah's husband, by local producers. Being collected and returned to the airport made the whole experience relaxing.
One thing that would make the hotel even more comfortable - better lighting in the bedrooms, particularly for reading in bed.

The Group were met at the airport by Keith and transported to a warm welcome from Sarah and Fluffy ( a large imperious mountain dog). The hotel is beautifully & sensitivity restored with loving care, pearching in a small hamlet amongst Alpine meadows and mountain views.
A simple room with excelent large comfortable bed with fresh flowers everyday.
A special bonus was the new chef Eugene who with Keith provided excelent well present canopes and meals to Michelin standard from locally sourced produced ( plus cake for tea!!).
Walking was skillfully lead and managed, to deal with our mixed ability group, the stunning countryside and immaculate villages making a wonderful backdrop.

Holidays only work this smoothly by having developed a happy team and network of local contacts. Should be on every walkers "Top 50 holidays" - so join the queue!!

Room Tip: Due to stone construction the rooms are cool and have small windows the first floor room with bath is great large room

We spent a wonderful week at Pri Lenart and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. The scenery was stunning, we were extremely well looked after by Sarah, Keith and their team, the food was delicious and the accommodation at the beautiful historical house sumptuous! Although the walking itself was not overly challenging for us, we still thoroughly enjoyed it. Slovenia is a hidden gem and definitely well worth a visit.

Thank you so much for your review; we are delighted you enjoyed your holiday, and thank you for your lovely comments on the hotel and the food! When we have a mixed group of ages and walking abilities it can be difficult to make the walks challenging enough for the youngest and fittest, but we're delighted you still enjoyed the walking and the scenery and that you'd recommend the holiday to others. Very best wishes, Keith and Sarah

Our week at Pri Lenart was delightful. Slovenia is very picturesque with friendly people and no perceivable litter and clutter- a bit like a mini Switzerland. The accomodation at Pri Lenart is superb with interesting and varied food beautifuuly cooked and presented. The atmosphere is intimate and ideally suited to groups of friends. You could not wish for better hosts than Sarah and Keith, who are exceptionally friendly but also very professional in running their business. The Slovenia pre-alp countryside is ideally suited for walking. From our point of view the walking was not challenging enough although we did have some guests who were not used to walking and Sarah quite rightly took that into account. All in all a lovely weeks break
