Excellent location, amazing landscape. Nice personnel, good food. The house is positioned very close to the road, so the dust coming from it was king of unpleasant. So was the smell from the septic tank, too.

I stay here for 2 nights and is one of the best hostel i know. Staff are friendly, food is great, is clean, rooms are OK. You can eat inside or outside, on the terrace, with a great view to the mountains. Is close to the main road and you have a lot of attraction around

The view is excellent, the food is good and the staff and owners are very accommodating. Parking spaces in front, toys, slides and a trampoline for kids, leisure chairs for the grownups and the relative remoteness of the place ensure a quiet getaway or a relaxing vacation.
There are some stunning views just 10 minutes' drive away, or one can take the marked trails through the forest and discover the mountains on trips that can go from a couple of hours to a full 8 hour trek through plateaus and mountain tops.
For the less physically inclined, there are other options: complimentary barbecue pit, pool table or table tennis, and leisure chairs in a landscape still a bit on the wild side. If you've been to Moieciu and think this is the same, think again: though just 5 miles away, the scenery couldn't be more different. On top of the world, surrounded by jagged mountain tops, few people know about this hotel and the quiet area it resides in. Recommended!

I'm going to give this 4 stars because of the absolutely amazing location. This is an average from a 5 star for the landscape and staff and a 3 star for the hotel itself.

The landscape here is one of the best in Romania. You are located on top of a hill between two major mountain massifs Bucegi and Piatra Craiului. Don't expect luxury or state of the art amenities, the hotel is rather basic, with a cheap feeling to it, poor materials, leaking shower cabin, etc, but it is all worth it when you get out for some hikes or just to relax in the garden looking at the spectacular view in front of you.

The location is not so remote, you have enough neighbors not to feel in the middle of nowhere but few enough as to feel in the middle of unpolluted nature. I am going to repeat myself, the location is absolutely amazing and it is definitely worth your trip, no matter how far you are coming from.

The food is in note with the general feeling of the hotel, so it's basic, nothing special but they use local grown meat and vegetables (mostly organic) which is a plus. The staff and the owners are very friendly and helpful, so this was a pleasant experience, which I recommend for the reasons above.

I have been there in February 2013 with the members of the workshop organized by Phototour. The landscape there is very nice. The rooms are relatively cosy even though over heated. The food is rather poor, starting with the breakfast, and going ahead with the main meals.
Average hotel, but I guess the only one in Pestera.

The view is excelent, best services and excelent food ( most traditional food from this area). The road to location is spectacular, and with a great view. I consider it one of the best places for relaxing, walking and to visit narrow region.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with Bucegi mountain view

Went here last year in june last year with a group of 4 friends, interested in some visiting in Bran, a little bit of hiking but also some days of relax. Found the location by searching google and made reservation directly to owners. Everything was as expected and we apreciated that they waited for us at reception until 2 am when we arrived!!! Indeed in the night the road may seem strange becouse about 1 km there are some curves and no houses, so you don't know if you are in the good direction. Anyway we didn't mind becouse it was well worth next morning to see the views, which, believe me, were absolutely amazing. Anyway, some friends went this year and told me the road was improved and has asphalt now.
If you just want to visit the famous Bran Castle, well it is some 7 km distance...But if you also want to be in contact with the nature, to clean your eyes - no longer building views but only the sky, trees, mountains and birds- i think it is perfect!!!
The guest house is an average one, but rooms are big enough, clean, with balconies were you can see the views and owners are really nice, gave us directions and helped buy some good cheese from a neighbour. Breakfast was buffet with 2 types of cheese, some salami, bacon or similar, butter, gem, cereals, omletts, eggs, cofee, tea, milk - and liked that 75% of the products were made there, traditional one and eco! we also spend 2 nights chatting one the terrace, wich is a great asset in my oppinion, is covered so you can stay there even when it rains, have a meal, have a drink and enjoy the mountains,

Room Tip: For families they have also triple rooms with one big bed and another single one. In fact becouse we...
