Although this restaurant is favourably mentioned in several guides, the quality of the food is appauling.
- Fish soup : Tasteless hot water with fish bits inside. and even pasta. The whole thing largely overcooked
- Seafood Soup : Nice color letting you expect a good pick...tough luck!
Main dish: Cataplana
Speciality of the chef (certainly self proclaimed !), highly recommende by the waitress : A stew composed of different fishes and mussels. Given the number of hours that these poor fishes had been cooked, I can clearly understand why it was so much recommended...a few more hours and it they would have simply "disintegrated". The chosen fishes are without any culinary interest and are tasteless...their only merit is for the owner : they are probably cheap.
The only "decent" food was the appetizers that are brought to you while you are reading the menu....and charged 15€
Ambiance is rather "sad", walls are full of "diplomas" and "awards" but the most recent is seemingly already 9 years old !!!
Beside a kind waitress who tries her best, the service is poor with a waiter (hopefully a trainee) who clearly wonders every minute what the hell he is doing here.
At the end the bill was pretty high
