We ate Xmas lunch there last week. Table was booked for 2.30 for 7. We arrived & were shown to two tiny tables that would have been pushed to hold 4 let alone 7. After lots of asking/complaining were seated elsewhere, this time on 3 tiny tables. The food was 1hr 15 mins late. To say it was the worst meal I have eaten in about 25 yrs in no exaggeration. The meat was gristle, the veg was either very soggy or burnt so black as to render it inedible. To compensate us for our huge disappointment we were given (free of charge) a small bottle of water to share. One of our party was so disgusted he left before finishing. The dessert was disgraceful. Xmas pudding with trifle is what was on the menu, In reality it was very poor quality pastry with a tiny bit of pudidng like substance smothered with fake cream, the trifle was 2 segments of an orange. The attitude of some of the bar staff was a disgrace. The owner was little better. You would be well advised to eat & drink in any of the very many other places locally.

This pub certainly has great live music but we enjoyed just going there for a beer or glass of wine during the afternoon. If you are hankering for a British traditional breakfast it is a good choice as well.

The pub was reminescent of a typical English pub with football on the television and a great bartender. You could have been in anywhere England and had this experience. If this is what you are looking for, this is the pub for you!
