Positives first.
Lovely staff, good service. Room tidied and clean towels everyday. Breakfast ok. Plenty of it and all self service unless you want cooked. Sun roof ok but furniture tatty. Good sized room. Really cheap price. Very central.
Negatives.
Had a room on the front. Noisy at night as several bars across the road and lots of early traffic. Mattress thin and not that comfy. No quilt.
Overall.........bargain place to stay and close to everything but I think I would try somewhere else next time.

The rooms are good a size and very basic but that was expected at the price we paid. The food, shocking. Unless you fancy a steak pie that tastes like monster munch and near enough liquified veg. We ate out 4/5 nights. Choice of drinks, not too bad but they don't do cocktails and the 'bar' is just a corner in reception. Bugibba itself does have shops and restaurants but no proper beach. St Julian's is more lively and for a young couple is a LOT better. There is a pasta place called oblico down the road from the relax inn which is fantastic. The staff were lovely, and very accommodating providing us with extra water and shower gel. Over all, do not go all inclusive in this hotel. This point cannot be stressed enough. It is not worth the money!!!

The hotel is in central Bugibba, near the rocky beach - 5 minutes - and surround of restaurants, bars and a public park, where there are many activities - live music, esplanade, place where the people dance. Hotel is basic but clean. Food is cook every meal of the day. Continental breakfast, eggs, brad, butter, milk, tea, coffee, yogourt, cereals, gem, not fresh fruits, water. Dinner have three meat choice, fish, chicken, pork or rabbit. Or salades, soupe, pastas and meat of choice.Very tasty and a lot of vegetables. Dessert: ice cream, creme caramel, cheese pie. Drinks is payable at dinner. A lot of english people who stay long time here, because of wonderful clime of the zone. Safe and air conditionner extra charge in the room. A fridge, kettle. Cleaning is regularly. Even the hotel is placed in the middle of the pubs there are not problems with the sleep. But is good to have ear plugs. A week at Relax Inn is absolutely perfect. Drain were in english model. You can ask at the reception to load one, but the personal is not all the time very useful, especially one lady. Mens is most kindly. There is a roof little pool, with a wonderful seaview, the sunbeds, not umbrellas, a shower and a WC. At the entrance there is a lounge with tvset, library, a bar. That a good budget hotel. Enjoy your vacation there !

Room Tip: Rooms higher floor seaview

We have just returned from a week at the Relax Inn and it was very good value for money. It was our pearl anniversary and I mentioned this in the hope of having an upgrade to a we view, not only did we get a fantastic view they gave us a bottle of wine too.
The room was tired and basic but clean. It had a kettle and cups but they don't provide any co free etc but there was a supermarket a few doors up and you can hire a fridge if you want.
The food was again basic but tasty and there was always enough.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The fact that many of the guests were repeat visitors shows how lovely this place is.
Don't go expecting luxury as you won't find it, but for a cheap basic place it is great.

I am still on holiday at the Relax Inn,we arrived my mom and i on Monday 2nd December 2013 so we have been here for a week, we have two more weeks left. First impressions are excellent staff,Gary on reception was brilliant, checked in really quick,Gary even took us up to our room, couldn't get our air conditioning on but once again Gary went out of his way to come up to the room and sort it for us. The other staff on reception were friendly, smiling, cheerful and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is continental but you can get a full breakfast or beans on toast, egg on toast etc for a small fee. Plenty to eat on continental though so you wont starve. Dinner again plenty, choice of two starters, two mains, and OMG the desserts are to die for, the chefs who cooks everything do a brilliant job, food was hot an tasty and i must mention the waiter and waitress, exceptionally friendly, always got a smile for us in morning and evening. I think it is a fantastic hotel,we have been made to feel very welcome, had lots to eat, and totally feel relaxed .Maid service is faultless, rooms clean and tidy, soft towels, beds comfortable, even a LCD television in room, also have a kettle and complimentary toiletries. Right in the heart of bars, sea, shops. The hotel could do with some refurbishment here and there but who cares, exceptional value for money, excellent staff, excellent location,We have stopped in Buggiba four times now at different hotels and this is by far the best and we will definitely be returning next year to it. And if the manager of the hotel reads this have you got any jobs lol?

The hotel was clean, cosy and comfortable. Do not think it will be like a 3 star in UK or you will be in for a shock. However, that said I had a 10 day stay in November and that the food was good, staff were helpful and have no complaints.

Room Tip: Ask for a high room at the back

My partner, friend and I stayed at the Relax Inn for a week at the end of September/start of October. We went all inclusive and were really pleased we did.The staff were really accommodating, 2 of us are vegetarians and they cooked us special meals each night which was really nice...they put loads of thought into it and we felt quite special! :) On the final night my friend asked if they would cook her some Maltese food which they did, they also offered to cook us some veggie Maltese food which was super tasty. The lady with the dark hair and the man (who brought a bottle of wine to our table each night) were especially nice but they were all brilliant.
Everyone says about the pool being tiny...it is small and more for bobbing around in to cool down but it was clean. We didn't go in it but did sit paddling our feet in it with a book and a beer.
The rooms were basic but had everything we needed, they were cleaned well every day with fresh towels left (sometimes folded into shapes, we had a swan one day - I've since tried to convince my partner to do this in our house. He wasn't having any of it.)
The shower was a bit hit and miss, I think if you have one in the morning when everyone else is it's a bit of a battle for hot water so the temperature has a mind of its own. I started having them in the evening which was much better.
The location is good, short walk down the street to the main strip bit of Bugibba and there's lots of shops and restaurants (eat LOTS of pastizzis...they sell them everywhere in Malta, they're about 25c and DELICIOUS)
We were told about a bar not too far from the hotel run by a lovely guy called 'Manwell'. We met loads of really nice people here including one couple who said they'd visited Malta several times before. They said they were quite disappointed with their hotel as they'd decided to splash out and stay somewhere for more money but it turned out to be rubbish and they were gutted they hadn't stayed at the Relax Inn as they normally do.
Getting drinks was fine, we never had any trouble just asking at the reception desk, there was always someone there and the beer was always plentiful. Be aware that if you want a large bottle of water for your room, ask before 11pm or you will need to pay for it (it's only about 80c).
We would definitely stay here again, as usual don't expect it to be top notch if you're not paying for it, but for being so accommodating and clean we couldn't fault it. The only trouble was a week wasn't long enough.
