It was New Years Eve & we'd just landed in a very wet & windy Malta. Having checked into our hotel we set of on a quest to find food, most places were closed (for NYE) or preparing for a party, but we spotted this little Indian restaurant tucked into a side street & decided to give it a go.
We hadn't booked but the chap running the restaurant said we could go in & we promised to fe out by the time their party guests arrived.
We just ordered a main course as the food was quite expensive compared to what we pay the UK. I would say a third more expensive.
It took quite a while to arrive, but isee from other comments that its all cooked fresh, so that would explain that.
But my goodness it was delicious. A good range of vegetarian options & not just the usual side dish choices. Hubby only got 4 pieces of chicken tikka for €7.50, which is half of what you'd get at home., but he said it was very flavourful.
I ordered a potato & paneer kofta dish which was out of this world, and the garlic bread? wow! Scrummy.
Service was not rushed & polite. And the house wine was pretty good too.
Would happily return.
