Fair enough I opted for the set menu and therein may lay the morale to the story. The restaurant looked lovely the service was excellent. The starter arrivrd looking fabulous and tasted good too. A mixture of tastes that went well. Then it went downhill. The meat cut for the steak was not a good one. Very fatty and chewy. It was over seasoned to the point you could not taste the meat and had to gulp half your drink to quench your thirst based on the salt levels. The vegetables did not look fresh and somehow varied from slmost being rare (carrots) to looking very overcooked ( broccoli). On the plus side the potatoes were nice. The pudding I opted for was lemon sorbet. It was definitely lemon flavoured. But the spoon I was given to eat it with was a little surplus to needs. A straw would have been more appropriate. It was runnier than a fast food shop milkshake or smoothie. A bitter disappointment. The service was good though. One of the few places I have visited in malta where I wasnt ignored. I started the meal thinking I should recommend it to friends and unfortunately ended it with a feeling I would not want to return.
