We stayed here from 18th-28th May & having been all inclusive before in both Spain & Cyprus where we had to eat out even for breakfast & having read some of the previous reviews we were more than a little dubious. However, everything turned out fine. Food very good - choices good with something for everyone no matter how fussy you are, service excellent - the waiting staff & chefs etc certainly earn their money & were very pleasant & helpful as were all the staff at the hotel. Our balcony didn't get any sun, but in some ways that was good because the room stayed reasonably cool. The air con was ok but might struggle to cool the room in the height of summer. Upper roof terrace area was fine though a few more parasols would be useful. Terrace area around pool was quite crowded & pool not that big. Hotel in a great location, yes it was quiet but unless you want music pounding out until all hours what's the problem? It was a 5min walk to bus station & approx 8-10mins to Buggiba seafront. This is the only all-incl hotel we've stayed in which we would actually recommend, so don't be put off by the adverse reviews, TRY IT?

Room Tip: Room 104 was good but no sun on balcony. Or maybe opt for street facing room.

Having just gone on a nice holiday this year and realising how much I enjoyed it, I felt compelled to tell people to avoid wasting their time and money coming here. I just don't understand how people have said they had a good time here?!

We were placed in a room with a tiny window and non-functioning air conditioning when the weather was around 40 degrees. It was of shabby quality in general and was like a youth hostel. We couldn't sleep and when we complained it took several days for a fan to arrive after we requested it. We were never offered a change of room. Eventually through a series of complaints (and co-incidentally, several coach parties leaving the hotel) we were moved to a room more like what we were expecting (although it still had rather large cockroaches). We couldn't get over how they thought it was acceptable to charge the same amount to put people in such different rooms. They were very stand-off-ish about it, including the holiday rep.

The food was terrible. They served the same dubious reconstituted chicken dish ("cordon bleu" apparently!) day after day... hot or cold as a salad dish. We were convinced we were going to contract Salmonella or E. Coli. Some days when there was a "barbeque" it would be all rented out to non-guests and there would be nowhere to sit, and we had to go back to our hot box room.

It was rented out to lots of school children when we were there. They were given free range of the hotel with very little tabs.

The whole thing was a nightmare and we had to do everything that we could to occupy ourselves outside of the hotel, despite being on all-inclusive. I really wouldn't wish it on anyone and we spent the whole time wondering whether we should just pack up and either go back home or try and find somewhere else that would have us at short notice. When we wrote to our travel agent about it when we came back, they sent a very hostile response that really made it sound like it was all our fault that our personal expectations were too high. Honestly, they're not. Save yourself the bother and don't go here this summer.

Visited Malta 16th May-23rd May as part of our 30 th wedding anniversary.
First time in Malta requested Top Floor room through Travel Republic but was advised on arrival all top floor rooms were already allocated, this was a bit of a Disappointment, allocated Room 128 which was ok.
Food from breakfast to lunch to Dinner was wide and varied.
Malta itself is very nice although I thought I was back home in Scotland
as the winds very high.
As previous contributors have mentioned well worth getting 7 day bus pass from main bus station Buggiba Square. Freeway travel is also one the cheapest to book any trips -nice friendly drivers and modern buses.
We will visit Malta again but possibly June/ September.

We brought some of our family with us this year as we'd enjoyed our visit so much last year.
We all had rooms on the front, and a welcoming bottle of wine in each room. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious.
Once again we were impressed by the efficient, courteous and friendly service that we received from all members of staff. The food was of a high standard with plenty of choice
The bus station was a short walk away and we visited many different places cheaply. The nearby coast road enabled us to have a pleasant walk to Bugibba.
All in all a lovely holiday

Room Tip: Book early and be specific as to your needs.

We stayed for a week on an all inclusive basis, we have never done AI before but were very impressed. The food choice and quality was excellent as were the drinks. We travelled in a party of six and the waiters and other staff were most helpful in ensuring we were able to sit together. The main restuarant was being refurbished during part of our stay but there were no problems and the service was second to none. The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable, we thought this hotel was great value for the price you pay. Thank you to all the staff for your hard work.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing the street, it's very entertaining!

Stayed at the Soreda Hotel from the 25 May to 1 June 2013. This certainly is not a 4 star hotel and nowhere near it. I had requested a twin room on a high floor but when we checked in on arrival in the evening, I noticed that we were given a double room on the second floor. I showed the paperwork with my request and was informed that the hotel was full and nothing could be done. I complained loudly and was then advised that we would be moved in the morning.

We had booked bed and breakfast. The main restaurant was suddenly closed in the early part of the stay for what was called maintenance and the dining was transferred to the lounge bar, which became very cluttered. Why could this maintenance not have been carried out in the winter when it would have been not so busy? The breakfast was not great. The juice was very watery, the coffee tasted and smelt like burnt brake fluid and the bacon and eggs, etc was not very warm.

The hotel is situated in the middle of streets of rough looking apartment blocks. There is nothing to do in the area unless you want to sit in a small pub all day. You need to take an excursion or a bus to get away and do something.

Finally, on the last day, we were wakened by the maid at 8.30am trying to gain admittance to the room. This is not acceptable. The room was to be vacated by 10.00am anyway.

It was in a good location. It is near the central bus station, great if you want to explore Malta by bus, that is what we did. The breakfast was good. The swimming pool on the roof was nice too. I liked the indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. Helpful staff, reacting quite fast if there is any problem. Clean room and bathroom. Good value for money. We were very satisfied with our stay.
