We have just returned from a very enjoyable holiday to Malta. We stayed at the Soreda Hotel in Qwara and had a really lovely time. We found the all the staff very polite and friendly. The rooms and the hotel were kept spotless - there seemed to be somebody cleaning all the time. The bedrooms were cleaned on a daily basis with fresh towels every day. It was also nice as we were all inclusive to have tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom - nice to have that early morning 'cuppa' before going down to breakfast. The meals were all help yourself from the buffet, but the lunch and evening meals the restaurant staff served you with drinks. We would have liked to see more traditional meals on the menu but the food we had was excellent - plenty of choice and variety to suit all tastes.
The Soreda is quite away from the main shopping area but at least you were able to walk off all calories you had put on with the meals!!!
The only down side I felt was being hassled by the various people on the streets trying to get you interested in trips and other freebies.
I would thoroughly recommend the Soreda and would certainly return there in the future.

Just had a delightful week all inclusive in February/March (two males aged 30/33). We were in room 218 and it was very nice. We heard complaints of dark rooms, poor views etc. from other guests but we don’t quite understand why people place so much importance on a room that all they will do is sleep and wash in! Our balcony faced the inside terrace pool but the room was lovely and spacious. The TV in the room was adequate for the brief times you may require it and coffee/tea facilities and a fridge were an added bonus. Bathroom facilities were great … the bath a bit small but we find that with most hotels. Hot, clean water was always available and the housekeeping ensued it was kept clean daily and towels were provided (if you want them changed).
The three meals sittings were very good. Breakfast had all the usual salad, cereal, fruit, yoghurt and hot food. At lunch and dinner time staff serve you drinks at your request. We would have liked to see more local dishes on the menu (there were some) but the majority seemed to be catered for English guests (lots of pork dishes). Do try the curry – it was fruity and not too spicy, gorgeous! The restaurant staff were excellent and provide an excellent friendly service even when times get busy. The roof top pool was closed for maintenance but the indoor heated pool and Jacuzzi in the basement were excellent … we went down every day. The bar is great and the bar staff very friendly and helpful. We didn’t stay down for the nightly entertainment but others have said it was too LOUD … we could agree with that as we could hear it loudly in our room which was probably the only negative we had about the hotel. At weekends the football is shown on the bar TVs if requested but some of the other guests we found to be rude particularly when we requested a football match on the TV on Friday evening in the lounge bar. The barman was happy to do so though! Overall we had a fabulous first time in Malta and at the Soreda Hotel. We are missing it so much that we’re already looking to book for a return in September.

My parents and myself stayed at the soreda hotel and loved our stay, we had 10 days from the 23 rd till today we have had no problems what so ever staff were friendly and would help any way they could rooms were on the 4 th and 5 th floor which was fine very spacious and cleaned everyday food was different everyday would stay there again we also upgraded to all inclusive I would say do it when you get to the hotel as it works out cheaper and if you don't like the food there is no push to do it, the weather was sunny but windy but plesent have been going to malta many years and enjoy it every time very relaxing

This hotel is delightful, but the entertainment was a bit on the LOUD side most nights. I found the staff to be very pleasant, helpful and courteous. Diabetics beware, the bar staff did not seem to know about "sugar free" soft drinks. All in all an enjoyable stay at the Soreda.
Having stayed at other hotels on the Qawra peninsular, this one ticks all the boxes and I will no doubt stay there again.

Room Tip: Its an unusual layout, so room choice is "Pot Luck".

Malta is Malta and I love it. If you are expecting a British 4star hotel with great views then don't go to the Soreda but if you want a good value for money Maltese 4 star (means they have swimming pools, lifts, entertainment, etc) with friendly staff that work all hours god sends this is the place for you. Our room 323 was perfectly acceptable it was quite dark and the view was of local flats but I didn't intend to be in my room other than to sleep. The food was good and there was lots of options I don't think I had the same dinner for 3 weeks. Rabbit stew, fish, pasta dishes, veal, pork chops, chicken etc. The bar area was very dark a little chilly and quite small but after a couple of drinks and a few dances that didn't seem to matter. Whilst I was there there was a mixed bunch of guests, some retired people that were there for up to 8 weeks, couples and singles of all ages plus some children at half term. The entertainment was pitched at the oldies but that suited me fine. At the weekends Maltese people joined in the dancing and Kareoke and why not. The hotel is well placed for those able to walk a little especially once you find the short cut over the waste land to the bus station. Busses cost 1 euro 60 for the day and the service is very good. We saw most of the island by bus and went to the market and Gozo with Oasis Travel. Would I go back - probably and would travel with Chevron again.

Just spent a week all inclusive at the Soreda, the staff there are second to none, they are always pleasant and helpful, we arrived on a Saturday evening which is early finish for dinner as the hotel opens to the general public, for dinner with live music and dancing, the manager invited us the this event to have dinner and join the party which was a great start. The food all week was good with plenty of choice, we did not stay in for lunch as we bought a weekly bus pass which is a fantastic way to get around and see all you can. The entertainment each night was good, local singers or DJ which is better than most AI hotels offer, the drinks were fine pints if you wanted them with a good choice spirits and excellent service. The down side is the location, very old built up area which makes the hotel very dark with no natural light, our room was on the third floor at the back over looked by seveal other rooms but as we were out most of thr time we accepted this. Overall a great holiday we loved Malta and the people the bus system is a great way to get about.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor at the front to get some sunlight
