We stayed at the Soreda Hotel for a week all inclusive in February. Our room was nice and comfortable. We had two balcony's - one facing the internal courtyard and pool and the other facing the back of the building so our room felt quite bright during the day. There was plenty of lights in the room for the evening. The TV worked fine and there was a selection of English channels and movies to watch. There was heating/air con in the room which was also easy to use. The bath in the bathroom was a bit on the small side but there was plenty of hot water. Occasionally the drains were a little wiffy. The location as fine but a bit out of the way, although this did mean it was quiet. It's only a short walk into Buggiba and the bus station as well as bus stop at the bottom of the road. The food was fine at meals. It's buffet style so you help yourself. There was a selection of hotel and cold food at each meal. Breakfast you serve yourself including drinks but at dinner you are shown to your seat and waiting staff will bring drinks. There was different food at each meal and generally something for everyone. I would have liked to see more local dishes on the menu (there were some) but the majority seemed to be catered for English guests. The staff were all great - really polite and helpful. Unfortunately the roof top pool was closed for winter maintenance but it was in a good location and would be fun in the summer. There are still 2 other pools at the hotel. Entertainment was provided every night which seemed to be enjoyed by the guests.

Just back from a week at the soreda. My husband and I (37 &35) had a lovely relaxing time. We were all inclusive and couldn't fault the choice and quality of food and drink. It was especially nice to be able to order a bottle of wine with dinner as part of the all inclusive. The entertainment wasn't really our cup of tea - we were the youngest people there! Our room 122 was spacious with a lovely big bathroom. The bed and pillows were quite hard however. The room was cleaned every day and you always see someone in the hotel cleaning somewhere. It was our first time in Malta and we loved how friendly all the locals were. We were however approached by people trying to get us to go and see 'resorts (not timeshares!!!)' every time we went out. They didn't go for the hard sell but it did get annoying, especially the one time we did go, didn't get the gift we were promised and had to make our own way back to Bugibba. Also beware of resort hoppa transfers - they dropped us off at the wrong hotel! Would highly recommend Historical Malta tour!

We booked this hotel for an October holiday through Low Cost holidays (never again will we be using this travel agent.) The hotel was dark and dingy and needed refurbishment. There was plenty of food but it was bland and very repetitive. The room was clean but basic, however, the balcony was so close to the one opposite you could almost shake hands with the guest in that room. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We went to the welcome meeting where we were told by what appeared to be the Low Cost Holiday rep that he would happily look after all the excursions and that we had no need to worry about rebooking the transport back to the airport as it was all taken care of and all we had to do was ensure that we were ready at the entrance at the appointed time. We must say that we enjoyed Malta and Gozo very much and the public transport was brilliant. With regard to our transfer back to the airport no transport turned up despite two phone calls to the rep who suggested we take a taxi to the airport. We barely made the flight and Low Cost holidays, to date, are accepting no responsibility so we could not recommend them. We do recommend a holiday to Malta.

The only thing that lets this hotel down is the location . Otherwise it is excellent. The receptionists, bar staff, waiters/waitresses and cleaning staff all deserve mention for the way they go about their duties and assist their customers. The food choice is excellent at all meals, and the choice of drinks in the all inclusive bar is extensive. Most of the residents in January are elderly enjoying 4 to 6 weeks away from the British winter, and what a great time they were having! Our room was 413 on the 4th floor, a double bed, kitchenette, bathroom and large balcony (sunshine in the morning), suited us perfectly.
There is much to see and do in Malta and the bus service is fantastic. Valletta is a must, as is St Johns Cathedral. Will return, but next time later in the year when the island is more 'open for business' and the weather has picked up.
