Arrived at 7.45pm Saturday night, reception staff said a late dinner would be served that evening which was very welcome. After our meal we went through to the bar, the singer was better than
we could have expected. The long term holiday makers were very friendly, made us very welcome . They explained we could get a weekly bus ticket for 12 euros, bus service excellent , just hop on a number 12 . We enjoyed the food too much (must go on a diet now). Our bedroom was lovely. Good warm indoor pool and gym, sauna etc. The people of Malta were lovely nothing too much trouble and also felt very safe. The cost of the holiday was extremely cheap. Plenty to see and do with the bonus of nice weather. We were sorry to leave and will hopefully be back next year.

Room Tip: The best views are from the 5th floor, but our room was on the 3rd floor facing the sun which was fi...

Hotel room clean & kept that way - TV reception not brilliant but not a problem I was on holiday. Food basic nothing spectacular even on Christmas Day. Staff in dining are largely friendly & some more helpful than others, but I object to having my plate taken away the moment I have put my knife and fork down. Entertainment wasn't up to much - 60's & 70's was adverstised - the age of the entertainers, in fact when I arrived I realised where some people spend their winter fuel allowance - like walking in to a nursing home (more youth did arrive). Plenty of good local & lively places to evacuate to.

Went as a party of 3, the accommodation was superb huge rooms and reasonable furniture - a distinct shortage of coat hangers though.
We had a fridge and one tv per room. But one was changed after zapping us and was changed with haste.
The holiday price for the week was really good and so the room was a surprise, but heard tales of other rooms not so nice.
The food was pretty good with a reasonable selection each day but some strange bits like no fruit salad for pudding only for breakfast.
We were All Inclusive and only had two meals where we had little choice from one week.
The bar choice was good and the bar staff were courteous considering the amount of work they did but not engaging - ie very little of their personality on show just work. But happy to do multiple drinks and served pints so much better than many other A/I's I have been to.
The cleaners were superb and did a first rate job every day.
Reception were very slow always and not much help and caused us to be unfed on our first arrival when we were in time if they had guided us though to the dining room.
The entertainment on offer was aimed at the older generation and was mediocre at best but the Sunday guy was actually good.
Little noisy in the mornings from the main street below but nothing ridiculous.

Room Tip: We were at the front 3rd floor a little noisy but nice sized room just a bit basic but more than ade...

I have just spent 9 great days in the Soreda from 27/12 to 5/1/13 and again i have no complaints with this Hotel. The services are excellent all round and the staff are always there to help you.The food was excellent and we had a very wide choice...Bravo.My only complaint is the eating hours, too early for our liking. e.g New Years Eve 5.30pm to 8pm . But apart from this no problem.A big thank you to the Soreda staff and Happy New Year.

What a disappointing Christmas . We have been going away at Christmas for the last six years and have loved it. This year I couldn't wait to get home. We have stayed in qwara before but this hotel is in the dirtiest, darkest part and there was rubbish and dog dirt everywhere. Hotel looks good in reception but there is virtually no outside space. Roof pool in photo looks inviting - don't be fooled. The roof is a whole hotchpotch of ups and down terraces and obstacles. Indoor swimming pool is warm but two levels below the street so extremely dark. The bar is dark and gloomy and there is not enough room for all the guests. The bedroom we were given was clean and quite large but we could barely see to get dressed. There was no view except into the rooms of all the other guests. The so called balcony held two chairs but again no privacy.

On the plus side the staff were nice and the food was very good so long as you weren't vegetarian. On most days even the pasta sauce had meat in it.

Entertainment was computerised music - even on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. One good point was pipers during Christmas Day lunch.

To crown things off we were wakened on last day which was New Year's Day, at 9.55 and asked what time we would be leaving the room. I was disgusted at the rudeness of this, and then when we went to breakfast which finished at 9.30 the place was so crowded we couldn't get a cup or glass and so couldn't have our last breakfast. On one day the residents were made to sit in long tables like a hostel because the hotel wanted to set up the room for a local function that evening

Room Tip: Don't bother choose another hotel

6th Time in Malta and second time at the Soreda, and again we were not disapointed. Lovely hotel and staff very friendly and rooms spotless. A special thanks must go to the cleaners as every time we came back to our rooms in the evening our room was cleaned and beds made ect. It was also the first time we travelled as a family our son 18 months old certainly enjoyed himself. Planning to go back in September 2013. Give this hotel a try well located for town centre and bus station.
