“Friendly, clean and excellent service”
Reviewed August 8, 2009

Stayed here 6th July 2009 for 10 days with my teenage daughter on half board. After reading some reviews I was a bit concerned, however we enjoyed our stay greatly. The staff were all friendly especially keith on recption and Montes in dining room. The rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels if you wanted them. There was a good choice of food at breakfast and evening meals. Air con and fan in the room plus minifridge if required. Entertainment not too good but a good bar round the corner, 'Tuckers' Enjoy!!

July 28th - August 5th
I booked this holiday last minute, for myself, my daughter and my mom. We stayed bed & breakfast for 7 days. The breakfasts were great a brilliant range of everything to suit every one. The hotel was very clean & airconditioned well. The staff are very friendly and are there to help. The maid cleaned and made the beds every day, towels were changed as & when needed. The hotel is close to all amenities, bars and restaurants, we found a fantastic Indian restaurant Anuysa in the square on the front if you fancy something a bit spicy. We found all meals good value for money and if you like a bottle of wine with your meal their local wine is great and very nice. We would all definately go back to Malta and this hotel tomorrow if we could we are actually thinking of going back for 10 days in October.
We were on floor 4 which was ok but the higher up the hotter it is, try and get a lower floor if possible.
Would recommend this hotel to any one. If you do decide to go to Malta I would recommend bed & breakfast or half board as there are so many nice places to go and eat and it is great value for money. We spoke to a few people while out there who were all inclusive in other hotels and would not recomment at all.
We all enjoyed this holiday including my daughter who did not want to leave.

Just got back from a 2 week holiday in the Santana Hotel staying in a self catering superior apartment. We booked this ourselves and did not go through a tour operator. Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted at reception with a friendly welcoming smile from the receptionist and a well prepared welcome pack, full of details on excursions and things to do around malta. The apartment was well equiped with microwave, fridge, toast, kettle etc. The room had good air con with a ceilling fan with was great in the 40 degree heat. House keeping visited every day and changed lining and towels as needed. The lobby bar is open 24/7 and the staff were great for getting our evening off to a good start, most notiably were lesley and scott. Entertainment is provided wed, fri, sat and sun. The pool is located on the roof top and although we managed to get loungers everytime we wanted them I can imagine that it would get very busy in peak season. They could do with investing in a few more umbrellas. The pool is open until 11:00 and provideds great 360 views of the resort and surrounding country side. This has its fors and against as many buildings in Malta are unfinished. The location was very good being central to Qawra. The bus terminal was 3 min walk, sea front 5 min. Bugibba was a 10-15 mins walk with St Paul being 25-30 min. All of these resorts are close together and an easy walk along a promanade but this does get busy. I would recomend 3 restaurants - the first 2 are next to each other just off Bugibba Square over looking the sea (a great location for watching the sunset) and they are George's and Bognor. George's do a great english breakfast for €3.50, while the portions in Bognor a hugh. Both do a 3 course set menu for €8.15 including wine which was great value. The last one is an Indian in Qawra at the bottom of tourist street, called infusion ( I think ) bit pricey but on par with the uk and the food was amazing. The only thing that really annoyed me about Qawra was the constant bombardment from timeshare promotors, these are easliy identified by the yellow name tags round their necks. I would also say that the resort is very expensive but this is of course due to the low Euro. Entertainment around the resorts are varied and a must if you see him advertised is Danny J De Vito - very funny and a good night from start to finish.
