qawra place was ok but needs a lot of work done to it i will explain our vist.

Accomdation
Our acomdation was below average .We had to move rooms because our first room had :cracked tiles in the bathrom air conditiong didn't work it was cooler outside. The room smelt of mould.we then moved to a so called seaview butyou had to learn over the balcony to see the sea. But we did get moved straight away.

Staff
staff were helpfull though if your all inclusive you have to be a more forse full because they can't be bother.

Food
food was ok there was akids meal everyday for dinner. However the airconditiong didn't work in one half of the room and we were sweating eating our dinner . However food was good lots of choice and staff were friendly.

Enteranment

Enteranment was pooralthoughthere was somthing every night. The whole week we where there we did not see th ekids club crew once and we do have a 11 year old girl.
Overall i would not vist this hotel again but if your just looking for a little break with nothing to posh.
p.s don't swim with the dolphins it so much money and you have to shareyour time with six other people and theres only 2 dolphins .It says you get an hour and a half but we only got 40 mins. H owever do vist because shows are brillent and waterpark is good.

Stayed at this hotel for 1 week in july. Could not enjoy the evening meals as the resturant was far too hot and busy, each table was so close to the next you couldnt get up for the buffet without banging the people on the next table!!
We were lucky in getting a sea view room which was of a reasonable standard, however when the evening wore on and we retired to bed we still had to endure the live entertainment until midnight as it was so loud it sounded like they were on our balcony!!
The hotel and pool were very clean but we would not return here due to the resturant, which we feel is an important part of a holiday.

We were very worried about going to this hotel after reading reviews people had left, but have to say we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this hotel. The room was admittedly not a 4 star, but we knew from past experiences that things abroad are basic. The room was cleaned every day by very pleasant cleaning staff who worked a 12 hour day and still smiled at the end of it, we got clean sheets every other day and clean towels every day.

The bathroom was tiny, but you don't spend long in there and I would rather have the space in the bedroom where we spent more time.

We were at the back and had not view, but we also had a lovely cool room to go back to at night, and had been in the sun all day so were only going to change so it really didn't bother us.

The dining staff were very nice and contrary to what others had written, they only ask that you stay in the designated area you are given on arrival. This meant you had the same waiters all the time and they were very accommodating, if you are courteous and friendly to them they are they same back! My son got meals specially cooked on several occasions because their was nothing he liked, and they offered, i didn't ask.

The foot was plentiful, lots of variety and compared with Majorca last year where it was chips with everything it was great to have lovely food, and you could have as much as you wanted.

The only complaint I have is that you had to eat inside and that spoilt it for me, but apart from that it was ok.

The bar is a pain in the neck because you have to queue twice, once to pay and then to have the drink prepared! which seems a very odd system - but they obviously have a reason for it.

My only other minor complaint is that they clear the pool area very early, but to be honest the sun has gone from most of it by 5.30 so we were not too bothered.

Basically, we had no major complaints with this hotel, we go to enjoy ourselves and not find fault with every possible thing, yes I am sure we could have had lots of things better in a different hotel, but then the cost wold have reflected it! so in the end, it was a clean bed to sleep in and basically we were out the rest of the day, so we just enjoyed our stay and would certainly not rule out going here again

I have just returned from this not so good hotel. No way is it anywhere near a 4*,bearing in mind most tour operators only give it a 3 or 3plus rating (4* is the matlese ratting) Icannot belive there hasnt been anyone else that hasn;'t mentioned that the air conditioning in the restaurant is broken (and has been since last summer) we were told where to sit (by the window) where above our head was cracked plaster around the air conditioning ducts and water constantly dripping from it onto a dirty mat below (how un-hygienci is that?) the windows had to be openend because it was so hot and so hence all the flies entered the restaurant landing on all the food, we were constantly having to hit them, it was disgusting, evertyone was walking around choosing food and witping their brows and chests with napkins at the same time, as the sweat was pouring off people. If you were fortunate to sit by the door you did get a cool breeze from the air con that did work in the adjacent bar.

the lobby wasn;t air conned so wherever you were you were hot and bothered, the air con in the bedrooms was not upto the demands we needed and extremely noisey. bathrooms aren't small, they are tiny, some worse than others, my door actually hit the toilet pan when you opened it,i mean come on, how can it e given a 4*????

the day time entertainment that is advertised was not available, so the teenagers apart from the small pool were walking around hot and irritable and bored stiff. we love the sun,but you do want times to go into an airconned room and cool off at times.

im sure if you go when its cooler outside, you wont need aircon and the flies and heat wont bother you, but unless they update the system and provide the entertainment that is advertised this hotel will be taken out of the brochures.

we didnt get a bargain for this holidayk brchure price, so are very disappointed and feel we had a very poor deal. we have stayed in far better 3* hotels in poor countries such as Bulgaria and Tunisia, which were like palaces in comparison.

Next door to the Qawra palace is a hotel called sun crest, which is fab, a 4* in every way, well worth a visit.

staff at the Qawra palace on a whole were pleasant and helpful, and agreed that the bathrooms and air con are a major problem

We stayed in this hotel on June 19th for two weeks. (Two adults and two children ages 8 & 1) The hotel did not cater very well for the children as the Animation team were less than animated!!

The hotel itself was very clean and the room that we had was good also.

The entertainment was very disappointing most nights apart from a very good entertainer in the name of 'Martin Elvis'. It is very much catered for the older generation!

The pool is salt water which was a disapointment as I was not informed of this at the time of booking! You have to be let onto the pool area from the inside of the hotel, but we were frequently left waiting in the stifling hot corridor for someone to come and open the door which never happened!! One guest had to force open the door!!

The staff were not the most friendliest compared to other hotels we have stayed in however, had fantastic service from Jesmond in the restaurant and Jordan at the pool bar.

The system for getting drinks at dinner was a bit of a palaver due to the fact that you had to order with a cashier to receive a receipt and then queue up to receive them!! Very odd!!!

Overall a good break but just a bit different to other all-inclusives.
