my wife and I went to the qwara palace in January 2013 .The weather was a bit in different but we were not expecting and heatwave . the hotel we found to be better than a 3* the food was excellent with plenty of choice the staff were pleasant and helpful at all times . can not comment on the location as it was out of season and many places were shut and the only problem we had was when the room used for evening entertainment was hired out for the evening to a bunch of Italians who totally reduced the standard of the hotel down to their level .otherwise had a great break would visit again but later in the year

Room Tip: get a sea view for definite

have just got back from an 11 night stay in MALTA and have enjoyed every minute --one of my complaints is that i'm fair skinned this means I go red -burn and blister in to much sun
could someone please invent some thing for us poor soul who cant go brown--but by no means stop us seeing the sun
2nd complaint is to do with the hotel the overall immpresion is that it's advertised as a 4 star but really is only a 3 star
rooms where good but the bathroom was very small--if you where to sit on the loo you could not shut the door
food was good but could be better the service in the dinning room lacked a little better organisation----the staff were very freindly and could'nt do enough for you --night time entertanment was of a good standered and was different every night--the wife and I would love go back to this beutiful island again some day but in a more cooler time of the year

Room Tip: try to get a sea view

We have been to Malta many times but not to this hotel, the room was Orrible no outlook, just looking at other rooms overlooking you, the room was dark, mold on the bathroom ceiling, the dinning room had hardly any selection of food many times it was cold, my wife had to eat her dinner out of a soup dish one night because she could'nt find a plate, plates are normally cold, and if you want a teaspoon for your puddin there's no chance, the staff in the resturant are rude and unhelpful and if you get in the wrong section look out, the cafe is quite nice it's like they've got two standards, when you walk into the reception area it's not very welcoming old plastic seats to sit on anyway i could go on but just got back and need to rest a bit to get over it..

Room Tip: Don't go there..

My husband and I booked this hotel to use for our honeymoon. When we arrived, we initially felt reasonably about our room; we had paid extra to have a sea view. The view we had was the only positive thing about this hotel. The staff clearly hadn't had customer service training, as they were very rude. Also, the pool area was dangerous. Beds were crammed together, so you were nearly touching the couple lying next to you and if the couple was smoking, you had the smell coming over you.The "all-inclusive" package only included tiny glasses of soft drinks, cheap local alcohol and ice creams that were full of sugar and E numbers. They didn't start serving these drinks until 11am, so in 35+ degrees heat, people on limited budgets were having to wait around to get drinks for their children. The food was awful. Everything tasted the same, the bacon in the morning was full of gristle and my husband became ill from eating an undercooked piece of chicken there.

Our wedding guests paid for our honeymoon and they have had their money wasted. We wrote a letter of complaint to the management whilst we were there but received nothing in return, not even a simple card to say sorry. This hotel needs some serious improvements doing to it. I would never, ever go back there and would certainly recommend that people choose a different hotel.

Room Tip: Pay extra to have a sea view, because the inward facing rooms reminded me of tenement flats from 195...

ok this hotel could do with a lick of paint here n there, but overall its a good enough place to stay providing you book and pay for a sea view, because the rear rooms have views of rooms opposite to you with no privacy on the small balcony's for sure the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable ,food is varied and to be fair not bad, staff were helpful to us and polite its probably a 3* hotel to be fair outside by the pool can be busy but hey if you don't like it busy book into a smaller hotel as this one has a lot of rooms. I think some people are to fussy with no patience and complain about the smallest of issues, if its about the cups glasses cutlery or what ever all you need to do is ask the staff and its sorted this can be a busy hotel ....relax be patient and its ok ....

Room Tip: pay the money for sea view room its worth it we were 7th floor great

The Qawra Palace Hotel is located in a lovely area, the seaview rooms have brilliant views over the Meditteraenean. I would recommend paying for seaview as the rooms without view look over a courtyard. Food is very good quality and they cater very well to special dietary needs( I'm Coeliac) The staff are very friendly and I found the rooms very clean. Some of the decor could do with refreshing but compared to most hotels is fine. There is a pool located at the hotel with large area for sunbathing, my only slight complaint was they start clearing the area at 5pm to get it ready for the evenings entertainment in height of summer would liked to have had bit longer to sunbathe.I went Half board which I found was adequate as the meals they provide are very large. Close by is the new Cafe del Mar which is even better than the Ibiza one.

Room Tip: Pay extra for a seaview room and go for a higher room for good views.
