We booked into the Qawra for short break, it is sold as a 4 star hotel but afraid does not come close. The Rooms are basic and looking a little run down, generally tired. If you are looking for a basic no frills stay then it fits the bill.

My wife and I needed toget away and chill out from London UK. We checked out the trip advisor and of course the comments section!
Yes the accommodation good and so was the food. And generous portions too. On one occasion fro breakfast we were able to feast our eyes on no less than 5 beautiful cakes.
Entertainment good ,but I was sad that other functions took over the usual ballroom area. Students from
Italy over on a languages break were very noisy and we were glad when they returned home.
My matress was worn and it was replaced. Service maid did a great job on the whole.

Just came back from this hotel, it was good value for the money. We stayed at this hotel 5 years ago and decided to visit Malta again. We were not disappointed,we booked a sea view room, which was clean and bright. We booked half board, the food was plentiful and quite a good choice.

Entertainment in evening good and staff very helpful and friendly. It was altogether a relaxing weeks holiday. Will most certainly go back next year. We tried a couple of local restaurants at lunch time and found them very friendly and food very nice.

Room Tip: Do book a sea view room they are brighter and the view is great.

What a surprise, a Hotel that out performs its own description. Food choice and quality 10 out of 10. Friendliness & help-fullness of the staff 10 out 10. Ask a question at reception and it is answered with a friendly smile. Rooms spotless, Restaurant. clean and spacious. Value for money 10 out of 10. The bus station is a 10 minute walk away and the buses go all over the Island. we have been to Malta several times, this Hotel is by far the best one that we have stayed at.

Room Tip: Our rooms were on the sixth (t0p) floor. The lift could be a little slow in arriving however the onl...

The hotel suits over 50s alot more but because we had two young children with us, one 4 and one 8 months it suited us really well.

We went all inclusive which i would recommend. The service was brilliant. Big thanks to Luca, Raymond, David and the 2 Brians. They really looked after us especially Raymond and Luca who deserve a pay rise for their hard work.

The football coverage was excellent with screens in numerous rooms for various matches.

The indoor pool was really handy for the cloudy and rainy weather which kept my wee lad entertained brilliantly.

The rooms where cleaned every day.

I think some more stuff for kids to do within the hotel would be good although the pool tables and air hockey kept us happy.

The location wasnt the best for things to do outside but we expected that in low season where some places where closed.

Thanks again
Wayne, Tammy, Dylan & Kyla

The hotel was excellent from the minute we walked in the door from the decor to the service . We choose an inside room because the majority of reports said it would be quieter and it was but on our next visit we will elect for a front room to enjoy the view.We went half board and the food was good , ample and varied with a good choice at every meal and if you wanted to eat out in the evening you could opt for the lunch buffet instead the only stipulation being you tell them the day before. The carafe of local wine at 3 Euros was very palatable. I aleady knew before we went that you had to pay a deposit for the kettle and TV remote so didn't have a problem with that . Contrary to previous reports you only pay1 Euro p/day for the tea / coffee makings , and if you want to use the Safe in the room that was 11Euros for the week.
All the pools were excellent and clean . I read in one report dated 12March saying one pool was empty , I don't know which pool he was talking about but they were all fully functioning for the duration of our stay.
The evening entertainment was various musical groups ,not all to our choice , but always enjoyable .

The cleaning staff were excellent and linen and towels were changed daily.
The only downside was the Bathroom which was a little tired and cramped but nothing to really put you off.
We plan to return to the Qawra Palace next year and would reccomend it .

Room Tip: The attached Coffee Shop is excellent.

may sound a long time but people in there for 4 5 even 6 months at a time. one guy even lives there.
they do special rates if you stay longer than 21 days in our winter.

the hotel is right on the seafront, the food is good and the staff all all very friendly, 20 min walk to buggiba and further 10 mins walk to st pauls bay.
the bus station is just round the corner and 5 mins up the incline and for 2..60 euros you can get a day pass to ride the buses till 11pm, great value.

in the hotel they have afternoon dance classes and if you, fancy then bingo in the evening and then the entertainment kicks in around 2030- 2100hrs.

also hotel show all the football and rugby.

so this was my 3rd visit and it was brilliant value for money and i met some lovely people and cant wait to return again

Room Tip: can pay extra for sea view, which if you can afford it gives you beautiful views ,also just done u...
