We stayed here from 21 September for 2 weeks. Our room was in 8th floor, sea view. Other reviews have said "only 2 toasters, no salad etc., can't believe they were talking about same hotel, it's just not true. The food was great, a huge choice to suit everyone. The system for getting your drinks worked perfectly before entering dining room. The room itself was adequate, yes the bathroom was small but had bath, shower, toilet, hand basin etc, was very clean and we certainly wouldn't let the size of it ruin our holidays. I agree that the non sea-view rooms were not very nice views, but we spent £230 extra, a lot of money but well worth it, we spent hours on our large balcony watching the evening entertainment and the world go by. Take your own kettle or hire one for one euro a day just up the road, the lobby was very nice, staff excellent, nice day trips, we also went to Sicily to see mount etna, very tiring but worth it, Valletta is lovely, excellent bus service from outside the hotel takes you everywhere for just over 2 euros. All in all, a great holiday, don't be put off by silly, petty reviews, you will have a great time

returned yesterday from two week stay. excellent location and friendly helpful staff. my friend and I both have special dietary requirements and restaurant staff were knowledgeable and helpful, I even received gluten-free bread which is unusual in UK hotels never mind in Europe.would recommend to any other coeliac sufferers. room adequate but bathroom small, both clean and towels changed daily. hotel situated on beach front, pool area good.
Downsides - paying 24 euros for safe key for 2 weeks, also paying for kettle at 3.75 eu per day plus 20 euro deposit was ridiculous, especially given the large number of older persons, myself included, that like to have and, indeed would receive this service free of charge in UK 4* hotels.We decided not to bother with kettle, also no tea or coffee served with evening meal.

Plus notes - if you are happy to drink the local wine, it is very cheap in the hotel and perfectly drinkable, either by the glass or buying bottle. Use local bus services as they are cheap, not always as regular as timetable but this is Malta! Bus travel best way to see the island and certainly worth going over on the ferry to Gozo if this is your first visit to the islands. would stay here again.

stayed at the Qawra palace hotel middle of september. after reading all the reviews of said hotel was very wary of staying there but found the hotel lovely staff very friendly and could not do enough for you. reported a fault at mid day was repaired befort returning to room in afternoon. room was cleaned bed made fresh towels etc daily what more could you ask for. food was different but with the wide variety to choose from and having a husband who is a bit picky/fussy found this was no problem and the portions as it was more os less help yourself was plentiful. outside area was clean pool and surroundings always cleaned and washed on a daily occurance. lots to see and do if you wanted to be adventurous bus stop across road from hotel for all tours and also local bus so you can just please yourself what you wanted to do. we did tour of island which throughly enjoyed would recommend to all and also listen to what being described. most of time was just lazy beside pool.
