I'm lying here on the last night of a weeks stay in the Dolmen hotel.
Fantastic suite with a stunning view of St. Paul's bay and the numerous hotel pools. Room cleaned each day to a very high standard. Hotel staff exceptional, multilingual and nothing too much trouble. Hotel location couldn't be better. Hotel food varied and plenty of choice but a little underwhelming. Think they cater for older people's tastes. Lots of upgrading going on around the hotel which is starting to look a little tired. Nice lobby and Temple Bar with excellent happy hour 7-8pm. Wireless Internet 3.50 euros per hour is bobbins. Won't connect to iTunes or Amazon( lots of Internet cafes and bars with free wi-fi close to hotel.
Nice hotel. With a bit of effort from owners could be top hotel. Staff are it greatest asset.

Although it was only the end of Feb the hotel was very busy and obviously well liked by the locals.
We stopped bed & breakfast and again the breakfast room was busy but the efficient friendly staff ensured that there were always tables available. Breakfast is self-service. Wide ranging choise, English or continental and the food is very good.
The hotel is clean and has a good selection of services.
Clen hotel, good food and friendly staff - ticks alot of boxes and if we returned to this area we would use this hotel again.

Just returned from a lovely stay at the Dolmen Hotel and would def return in the future. Lovely room on the thrird floor overlooking the pool/sea and two giant beds that were so comfy and the room was spotless. When we used the shower, water went everywhere. We mentioned this at reception and within 20 mins they had rectified the problem and housekeeping had also cleaned the floor. I was v impressed by this My two minor niggles would be 1. The hotel should install the freestanding antibacterial hand gel units at the entrance to the restaurant for EVERYONE to use like they install on board cruise ships.As the restaurant is buffet self service, some peoples hygiene is better than others!! Point 2, The ladies toilets at the rear of reception are v smelly (Even after they had just been cleaned, could be a drainage problem?) and one of the soap dispensers was broken for the entire holiday. Overall a lovely relaxing holiday

We held our wedding reception here in May 2012 and the hotel couldn’t do enough to help us, accommodating all of our wishes and more and contributing to a fantastic evening. The service was outstanding and the food was plentiful (with guests to this day (Feb 2012) still raving about the desserts on offer). Highly recommended.

Renovated room is chic, modern and large. Terrace with a beautiful view of the bay. Big bathroom. Excellent and accommodating staff. Pool area is a perfect sunspot to while away the afternoon with the ocean breeze. Hotel is on the promenade which takes you along the edge of the sea and is an deal spot to take long walks and gaze at the sea. There is a very large selection of food in the hotel's main restaurant but if you're not keen to be in a large dining room with lots of travellers vying for food and tables then there are lots of good places to grab a bite in town (which is just a few yards from hotel). Staff and locals are lovely and kind. Hotel's cleanliness is A+++++ excellent!! The only improvements for us would be more tv channels as there is only one English language channel (Sky news). Also, the wireless price is very expensive and really should be provided free with the cost of accommodation. iPod dock would be nice to listen to music.

The Malta bus system pick up is right at the hotel making it easy to get to Valetta or other parts of the island. The two towns the hotel sits between are easily accessible with lots of cafes and restaurants.

Stated here for a week, half board

Food was very nice although a bit repetitive during the end of the week.

Stayed in a family room,Rooms were very spacious, had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Which was very handy!!

The spa pool could do with a good clean, however the sauna is very relaxing but needs a refurb!

Would like to see this hotel in the summer time!

A lovely hotel, I stayed for a month from late January 2013. I had a good room but as it was a single, without the magnificent sea view that most room have. The hotel is right on the sea front and next to the bus station so it was very easy to explore the rest of the island. The food was excellent! My only problem being that I am now on a diet after a month of over eating!!!
The staff are very helpful and friendly I left my camera on the hotel beach the day before we flew home. I emailed the hotel and offered to pay the postage back if it had been found. It was!!! and the member of staff refused the tip I had offered and returned my camera without charging any postage
