The place is itself a small trattoria type of place. The food is however a fest for your taste buds an or**sm I would dare say. I have visited this place numerous times and I have always been more than satisfied. My last visit to the place was on the 9 April 2008. Giovanni (the patron) was as welcoming as always! He asked us to sit down and gave us a welcoming drink. We ordered an antipasto and two plates of paste. What we got for antipasto was well beyond anything we expected! Giovanni served us generous portions of crude and lemon marinated octopus and red local prawns (they were just heavenly) then a potato and green pepper stew, borlotti beans cooked in anduja and parmesan (you should really try this), chick peas cooked in honey, spicy black calbrese olives and cherry tomatoes cooked in honey (just divine), funghi porcini trifolati (the real stuff not button mushrooms), peppers and aubergines grilled to perfection, potato gateau, a sword fish carpaccio (which was out of this world), a caprese with real Casertan bufala mozzarella, and bufala ricotta... all antipastos were just great... Then we got are mains 2 ginormous plates one with linguine and crab and the other with local prawns, langoustines, clams and mussels. The crab was delicately delicious and the pasta cooked perfectly al dente (true to the Italian tradition). We also had 2 jugs of sparkling water, a glass of wine each, 2 shots of grappa, 1 shot of amaretto and 2 Italian style espresso ristretto.... You would never guess how much we were charged for this culinary feast! 79 euro for 2 people! This place is way better than most other pretentious places ... The gourmands and the lovers of Italian cuisine should definitely visit this place.
