Our first visit was great, food was excellent as was the service on the night. Second time around was not quite the same. Booked latish (2030hrs), went there right away and was told to wait for a window table which we were shown by the Chef Patron. While waiting he offered us a prosecco, which we eventually accepted. In came another couple who weren't happy with their table and bang...... there goes our window table! We were then led to a central table which was already available when we had arrived, and we were given the poor excuse that the other couple had booked before us. We obviously weren't happy with that, because Mr. Chef Patron, you just don't treat clients in that manner. Along came another four clients who were taken upstairs, and the chef patron went on to "convince" us (didn't want to spoil the evening by refusing) to go upstairs. Upstairs kind-of had no atmosphere, except for the extremely courteous and helpful American waiter who gave us his best attention. Nothing negative about the food, very good in fact as previoulsy. But when offered a prosecco while waiting for your table you don't really expect to find it on your bill - but there it was, and again, you just don't treat clients in that manner. Did you really think that you could get away with treating clients in this way? Well, your competitors (and there are many who offer good food and service) will now be benefiting from our custom!
