I went to this venue as a guest at a wedding. I was absolutely blown away by the villa and grounds - it is truely beautiful and stunning and i could not imagine a more beautiful romantic venue for a wedding. The food and wine was absolutely spectacular. the whole weekend was incredible.... apart from one thing... the management. The wedding planner was a complete nightmare and anyone considering using her should be very aware of this.... in my view the planner should remain in the background on the wedding day making sure everything is going accordingly... not sitting down enjoying the food and wine that were meant for guests.... letting best men and bridesmaids (and bride and groom) run around manically making sure all the last minute arrangements had been made.... she also accused one of the best men at the wedding of stealing food (which had been paid for) and of smashing a pot in the garden - he was then ordered to leave the venue that night and ended up having to sleep in the grooms parents room. totally unacceptable. she was rude and very unhelpful as was Paolo the manager. They have such a special amazing place to work in and i really do not feel they make the most of the opportunity...... for them its a business venture and they do not take enough time to do their job properly - just wait to cash in at the end. if they stepped up their game they could absolutely be the best wedding venue in Italy..... more organisation required.

We had the most amazing wedding at Villa Giona at the end of July. Marion (the wedding planner) and her partner Franco set up the whole experience over the course of 18 months. They made sure everything was absolutly perfect for us from start to finish.

The Villa itself is incredible, we had 17 brilliant rooms suited to everyones needs, the room in the tower set over 3 floors is brilliant. The setting and surrounding are amazing. Our guests arrived for the few days and thought exactly the same. We spent a lot of time on the few days before the wedding around the pool area which has stunning views across the vineyards.

The actual ceremony took place on Lake Garda then everyone came back to the Villa for the evening celebrations. The food and wine that night was fantastic.

If you are considering getting married here then take the next step and book up as it will be an unforgetable experience fro you and your guests,

We recently visited Villa Giona for our Son's wedding - the venue is amazing - we had the whole villa to ourselves for two days - and the team could not do enough to help us, even to the point of driving us to a nearby restaurant rather than just give us directions. Breakfast is continental, but an absolute delight, in terms of location and content - we were so relaxed we spent at least 2 hours over breakfast both days - which was not a problem to the staff at all. Marion (wedding planner) does a superb job and nothing is too much trouble - food and wine excellent.

We had waited and saved for this trip for three years and everyone told us that VIlla Giona was the place to stay. Six grown men travelling in the Verona area, visiting wineyards and restaurants.
One of Paolo´s waiters were waiting for us when we arrived and he told us, that we were the only guests since the entire hotel was closed in order to prepare for a wedding that was to take place two days after we arrived. We couldn´t buy anything at the hotel - not even water.
We were told to ring the bell if we came home after 7 o´clock in the evening since the waiter was the only one that could let us in. The first night we camee back at 11 o´clock in the evening (after having dinner in Verona) and we rang the bell. After having waited for approx. 10 min. they reluctantly let us in. Next morning we were told that we couldn´t stay at the hotel anymore because they though t that we arrived at the hotel to late that evening??? We were asked to leave but he wouldn´t put it in writing. Later he wouldn´t refund us the amount that we had paid for the next two days - since he ment that it was our own fault. The place is very nice but PAOLO is a criminal that wannot be trusted.

Villa Giona is simply amazing if you are looking for some peace and relaxation outside of Verona. We got married here and it was simply unforgettable. We would stay here when visiting Verona. Your are not in the city but WOW what an experience to stay in a 16th centruy villa, full of character and surrounded by grape vines.

What a great experience. We went to Villa Giona after a horrible experience at Casa Belmonte in Sarcedo. Paolo was waiting in front for us and made us feel immediately welcome. The Villa is in an absolutely beautiful setting with acres and acres of lawn and manicured gardens. We were traveling with out two children 11 and 8 and their was room for them to run and play without bothering any other guests. The view from the pool of the surrounding valpolicella countryside was incredible.

Villa Giona is a 16th century country house that has been converted into a hotel. With only 16 rooms including one self catering apartment , the owner Paul and his small staff provide make one feel extremely comfortable in what are truly 5 star surroundings. Great location - 30 mins from Lake Garda, 30 mins from Verona and beautiful grounds.
