The service staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the various menu selections. The food selections offered a wide variety and the available wine list was lengthy. The eating area is amazing with intricate trim and details. The table service, as you would imagine, was also first class.
My wife and I both decided on the same main course, the organic free range chicken breast, and were very happy with our selection. The chicken was prepared well and pleasantly presented. The combined taste of all the plated items made for an excellent meal.
We then shared a desert selection of brown sugar pound cake. Again we were very happy with our selection. The amount of desert on the plate was perfect, even though the taste of it left us wanting more.
When the check came, it added up to about $45 per person before tip. Even though this is significantly more than our normal restaurant bill, the food and service was well worth it.
I highly recommend this restaurant for a nice romantic meal or to celebrate a special occasion. Of course if you are staying in the grand old historic hotel, it should not be missed.
