“Perfect little local restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2013

joe's inn is always good, we went this past sunday night around 8:30, we did have to wait about 10 minutes to be seated which was surprising it was packed so late on a sunday. I ordered the steak sandwich was delicious, my friends got the grilled chicken sandwich and one of their omelets. the food came out in a normal amount of time, it was all very tasty! Def going their again, the only cons i can think of is i wish their menu had more unique dishes instead a lot of the same every day subs/sandwiches. oh yea and its pretty cheap! so thats always a plus!

“Tasty comfort food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013

We go to Joes on Shields when we want Italian comfort food. Their baked spaghetti plates are huge, covered with bubbly cheese, just right when I want a big serving of comfort food. The service is always swift and friendly. The crowd ebbs and flows. Try to arrive before or after the peak hours to get a booth.

“Whether "INN" or "Out", Joe's is great”

Portions are HUGE; so count on sharing or having luscious leftovers for the next day. Everything is delicious - you can't go wrong. Servers are courteous and friendly and efficient.

“Coming back to an old friend.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

We had not been back to Joe's Inn on Shields in 10 years. Had a very positive experience with basic comfort food served quickly and well. The baked spagetti is hard to beat.

“Above Average Portions, Average Ambiance”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

I found this restaurant online while looking for yummy places in Richmond. it is definitely a locals place. I felt a bit like an intruder. The waitress was pleasant and people seemd nice enough, but we got lots of stares from strangers as we walked in and throughout our dinner. I don't know where Richmond stands on racism, but we were the only black family in an all white restaurant and we definitely felt it at times. We brushed it off bc we were consumed with portion size and our usual family banter, but still. The other eaters...not so friendly, but the overall place was great. I would definitely come back to this place and definitely reccommend it to everyone.
