It's just beautiful and all the architectures and stuff. :) I absolutely love here!

I take it when I drive anywhere in Richmond. Moves faster than Broad St and is simply beautiful no matter what season. Covered in snow, warm spring/summer days, fall leaves on or off trees. You often find people tanning, running, walking dogs, playing games, picnicking, anything down the median in the center. Looks like a lot of fun.
Nice place to take a walk. Also, look for time of year you are visiting as there is a 10K in March and an Easter Parade on Monument Ave. each year. Lot's of good neighborhood eateries too like Caliente, Joe's Inn and Garnett's just off of Monument.
Amid a phalanx of trees, a large median on this avenue contains statues of importance to Richmonders and Virginians: J. E. B. Stuart; Robert E. Lee; Stonewall Jackson; Matthew Maury, pathfinder of the seas; and Arthur Ashe, Jr. A pleasant drive among icons of history rivaling Bull St. in Savannah.
We only drove down this avenue as we didn't have time to explore it on foot, but nonetheless it was a sight to behold! Beautiful homes to look at on either side of the road and of course the large monuments are grand!
