history, the statutues, cobblestones, especially the beautiful houses on Monument Avenue. Definitely worth a drive down this road! A BIG recommendation for out of town folks. My experience is that northerners are not impressed!

A drive on Monument Avenue is a drive through the History book. Take time to really look at the monuments. Test your memory? What do you know about this? Ten look for some hints to help you.

“One of the most BEAUTIFUL streets in Richmond, and probably anywhere! Must-See area in Richmond!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

Monument Avenue is, of course, known for it's monuments down the street, but the architecture is fabulous! Just walking down this street is just a beautiful walk, and alot of people do this daily. It has gorgeous trees in the fall, nice walk or stroll, and also beautiful in the spring with everything in bloom, and of course at "Easter Bonnet" time! Several movies have been filmed here, because of the architecture and the streets, and this is A Must-See in Richmond!

“a long walk in a beautiful neighborhood”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2012

The statues are amazing. The houses are restored and intriguing. It was a longer walk than expected, but we enjoyed the neighborhood, especially because of the houses.

We came in the fall and the changing of the leaves was awesome! You just drive down the main road and it is very pretty, the houses and trees are beautiful.
