“Chahuly Rules”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

It is phenominal! On any given day the VMFA is a world-class museum...but with the Chahuly glass exhibit there until November...it is out of the world. What an outstanding body of work. The glass blown creativity is a delight to walk through and experience with glass in front of you, reflected above and below you. Chahuly is a treasure and this exhibit is worth seeing again and again.

“Top notch museum!”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

I have been going to the VMFA for most of my life. An outing to the museum is a treat to my entire family. The most impressive aspect of the museum is the special events and exhibits that the museum arranges. We are looking forward to the Chihuly exibit that is there through February 2013. The Faberge eggs are a must see!

“A wonderful place to spend an afternoon”
Reviewed October 26, 2012

I took my wife to the VMFA in august close to our anniversary, it was something she always wanted to see and I hadn't been there since the expansion. The parking was easy to get into and there was plenty of spaces open. The walk to the museum was short and beautiful. The museum was massive and we took about 4 hours walking through, it was just quite amazing the quality and quantity of the exhibits, and all in Richmond, VA. The only thing that my wife was disappointed about, was that the Fabrege eggs were loaned out to another museum..but there is still enough amazing exhibits to see.My favorite was the Frank Lloyd Wright stained glass and the Tiffany lamps. An awesome experience, that I highly recommend, did I mention it is free!!.....HAPPY TRAVELS!!

“love it!”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

who would think that one of the 10 best fine arts museums in the US would be found right here in richmond, va? their special events are just that, really special and of wide interest areas. i love having lunch in the "cafeteria." feels more like a restaurant. my husband and i are members and go several times a year.
