Horrible, decided to check this place out this spot on Free poetry night. The waitress was extremely...RUDE!!! As I was listening to the poetry...the waitress told us if we did not order food we had to leave. Ended up walking out!
Would not recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Cute, but simple.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

We made reservation for Friday night at 7pm. We were seated right away. The interior is simple and could use a bit ambience. The hostess was super sweet and we were provided a flight tasting after we checked in using yelp!
The menu comes in small plates and larger shared plate options. The food was good, but not amazing. What was amazing were the prices on the wine list! Wow, delicious bottles for $25? Amazing.
Also, during dinner there was a small Spanish guitar band that played lovely music.
We enjoyed our meal here, but could have used something a bit more lively with the crew we were in.

“Cozy Tapas & Wine Bar in Shockoe Bottom”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2013

There are many restaurants to explore in Richmond and this is one you should definitely consider visiting. C'est Le Vin offers a tasty food and a nice assortment of wines near the Main Street Station and City Market. Everything we had was beautifully presented and tasted great. I understand that they have live music from time to time, however we arrived rather early in the evening and had finished up when the entertainment arrived. We'll definitely be back.

“Unique, eclectic wine offerings in a bistro setting with live local music on Friday nights”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2013 via mobile

Located in the now trendy Farmer's Market area if Richmond, this store offers wine selections that we've been unable to find anywhere else--and most for under $20. Imagine finding Lebanese, Moldovan and Portuguese wines all in the same place! They have good New Zealand, French, italian, Spanish and Austrian selections as well and offer tastings for many if you ask. Although we'd already eaten, the menu looked and smelled great-- it's on our list for our next visit!

“A real gem!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2012

I’m glad to say it was not at all what I expected. That name, “C’est Le Vin Bistro and Wine Bar”, had me thinking it was one of those pretentious, trendy eateries for self-appointed wine experts. Far from it – this is a comfortable, relaxed restaurant with a friendly staff and truly excellent small plates creations.

Food: The wine experience was perfect. Several tasting bottles, and solid recommendations from the staff when we described the styles we usually enjoy. They explain the differences and make it easy to explore different styles. The small plates are great, both in taste and presentation – being right across the street from the Farmer’s Market might be a factor there. It did take a little while to get our plates, but I suspect that’s due to the care and attention they put into them, and absolutely worth the small wait.

Atmosphere: Mostly small, high tables for standing or sitting, a very informal style overall. The ever-changing art from local artists encourages strolling and mingling with other groups. Live music several nights a week and a dance floor large enough to accommodate a dozen couples. We were there during the Wednesday Argentine Tango lesson, with the music continuing after that 1-hour intro. A welcome alternative to the bouncier, dance-beat clubs nearby.

We’ll definitely keep C’est Le Vin on our short list, and recommend it for couples and groups looking for a laid-back evening out.
