I went here for a group meeting, about twenty of us. We had the room upstairs and the wait staff were very attentive and efficient. I had the chicken, it was very good with a smoky tomato sauce. I enjoyed the sides of broccoli rabe and mashed potatoes with tomato. We had creme brulee to complete the meal, it was very tasty and perfect ending. I like the old historic venue. Parking on the weekend can be a challenge, on a weekday evening you can park down the street and always find a spot about two blocks away. Recommended.

We went with a party of 6 on Saturday night. The service was great. The food excellent. A bit noise as it is in an old building. The management met all of our needs with reservations through open table.Wine selection very interesting and the prices were very good.

Went here on Feb 15. Took a long time to get waited on. The hostesses made several comments to wait staff for someone to take our table. A discussion ensued because no one knew who was responsible for our table. Someone finally came and took our wine order; however, they were out of everything we wanted. Ordered the aricini to start. It came to the table lukewarm and we still hadn't ordered our dinner. Had to get up and ask the manager to have our server come back over to order as we had been there for almost 45 minutes. We both had filet which was good but not cooked to the right temperatures.
After all this we just wanted out. There were no apologies given and nothing comped on our bill. I expected much more from a restaurant that had high ratings in the past!

Went here last weekend b4 a show at the National. Ambiance is quite sophisticated and not sure service is very good. We all had the fixed price menu (either all or none have to order the fixe price menu, not sure why?) Beet salad was great w/ creamy goat cheese and large chunky beets. Pork chop and fish entrees were good. Deserts were good but nothing special. Great coffee. Drinks were reasonably priced. Definately a good choice.

Overall service was excellent.

The appetizers stuffed arancini and shrimp skewer were OK but bit skimpy. Arugula salad was soggy, as if the someone balled it up to squeeze the excess dressing out of it and was still over-drenched in vinegary dressing; worst arugula salad ever.

The filets were cooked as ordered, medium and medium-rare but somewhat dry and over-seasoned. Worst was the salmon steak where the seared crust was extremely salty to the point of distraction and the accompanying tomato sauce had an off-putting smokeyness that did not pare well with salmon.

The side dishes, tomato infused mashed potato sounded more impressive than it tasted. Mac and cheese was dry, lacking both cheesiness and creaminess. However, broccolini was bad in both presentation and taste. It came out limp, drenched in oil and looked totally unappealing.

The desserts, creme brulee and pumpkin gelato were fine. All in all, it was rather disappointing dining experience.
