“Good food, but small portions for the cost”
Reviewed November 19, 2013

I had Sunday brunch here the other day and the weather was nice enough for us to sit outside! I was happy to see the benedict and french toast combo, but the portion size was smaller than what I expected. One slice of french toast plus half a benedict portion was somewhat underwhelming. On the positive side, the grits were outstanding!

“Cute place...little disappointed in the food”
Reviewed November 16, 2013 via mobile

Spring rolls very overdone and very greasy. Asked waiter for buttery Chardonnay and what I got was SWEET! He very nicely corrected it so that was good. Mac and cheese was outstanding but disappointed in the shrimp and grits. Grits were very lumpy and overall lacked flavor. Will try again since we loved the atmosphere and outdoor tables with heaters. Nice wine selection by the glass.

“Awesome date night!”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

We went with another couple and overall very pleased with the choices that were available on the date night menu. The house chard was not to our liking but we did like the house merlot. The food was quite tasty and a great atmosphere for date night. This was my 2nd visit to Mosaic and so far my only complaint is that the catfish was WAY OVER SALTED.

“Local Restaurants only - Franchises need not apply”
Reviewed November 4, 2013

We were looking for a nice / local restaurant and found it at Mosaic. Quaint and out of the way location. Service was impeccable, Wine selection was limited. If you are looking for steaks, this is not the place for you. The food we ordered was very good but but I would have liked more entree options.

“First but Not Last Visit”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

Opted for Restaurant Week menu. Limited wine selection. Sampled 4 of 5 first & second courses which our server, Melissa, served family style as requested. Warm Mozzarella Salad and Grilled Romaine Hearts were stand out first course offerings.Braised Short Ribs were everyone's fave second course while Shrimp and Grits ran a close 2nd but Pumpkin Gnocci was a miss, heavy, Along with the 3 third course offerings, we were able to order Creme Brulee to give us 4 dessert samplings. Pumpkin Tiramisu was the fave although you had to get to the bottom of the parfait to enjoy the apple brandy soaked gingersnaps. Our creme brulee afficianto thought this version tasted like rice pudding. With so many dishes sampled, the hits far outweighed the misses.
