Description: Texas de Brazil is no ordinary steakhouse. It’s a dining experience like no other. Here, traditions of Brazilian cooking blend with Texas hospitality to create a lively atmosphere in an upscale setting. Your meal begins with a visit to our extravagant salad area where you can indulge in a wide array of seasonal roasted vegetables, fresh artisan breads, charcuterie, imported cheeses and other specialties. Then enjoy the rodizio-style dining that has made us famous. An endless parade of gaucho servers visits your table with skewers of freshly grilled beef, lamb, pork, chicken and Brazilian sausage carved directly onto your plate. It’s all served with authentic side dishes of garlic mashed potatoes, Brazilian cheese bread and sweet fried bananas. To complement your meal, select from our award-winning collection of wines or traditional Brazilian bar creations. And don’t forget to treat yourself to one of our decadent à la carte desserts.

whether it was an off night or the good reviews here have a different standard for steak, i did not enjoy my meal. i am definitely a fan of the churrascaria restaurants that have taken the country by storm. i've been to them in NYC, Minneapolis (my fav!!), Myrtle Beach, and now Richmond. this particular one rates at the bottom of the four i've been to. We didn't h ave a reservation - it was a tuesday- and we had a 45 minute wait for 5-top. the ended up putting two tables together that were empty since we walked into the place. the service was terrible - i was with 4 other guys and we had to ask for water refills, clean plates, and the bottle of wine we ordered. the garlic beef was missing the garlic...they really need a rib-eye on the menu. the filet was tasty, tho was a little heavy on the pepper....the picanha was tasty - as it should be for the house specialty....the gauchos weren't even all brazilian....

i am typically very forgiving in the service department, but it really was terrible. the meat was marginal and the coffee average. not worth the $43 price tag.....
i won't go back....

We have been fans of Texas De Brazil for many years. Yes it is expensive at $42/person but when you can eat all the Filet Mignon you can handle, that price may be worth it for you. Do yourself a favor and sign up for thier e-mail club and you will receive regular coupons for $35 meal with a dessert included and for your birthday your dinner is on the house. They recently moved to a new location at Short Pump.... which is easier to get to but the waiting area (if you have to wait..) leaves much to be desired.... the center room which shows the "gauchos" preparing the meat is kinda cool but takes up a huge chunk of the space. As always the salad bar is top notch.. we will return but always with a coupon!!

The place is big and fancy but....over priced. They bragged about the local Brazilian drink at the bar...then suggested the better (higher priced) Cachaca. The drink was tasty but very skimpy...mostly ice....for $9 ???. Meat was ordinary...pork was poor. Salad bar was good. Service was good. Overall, more ambiance than anything else.

I have eaten at some of the best steakhouses in the country that didn't cost this much!!! 2 adults and one 12 year old - almost $200!!!!!! Insane - of the 10 or so types of meat that we were offered, only 2 were good. Felt like a sucker after going to this restaurant - never again!
