this is a great hotel, very friendly staff, breakfast (including 3 hot items) included, has an indoor pool.
Great location , 5 restauarnts within walking distance if you enjoy a drink with your meal, 15 minute walk to town cntre shops, ( mexican, red robin, applebays, olive garden, cheesecake factory)

5 mins from the freeway, and 15 to downtown richmond, used this as a base for the civil war sites in the region, 45 minutes to Petersburg, 1 hour to monticello, 1 hour to Outlets at williamsburg, great outlets !!!!

The parking is tight. The lobby is dark. The continental breakfast unappealing. One desk clerk available at anytime of the day. I needed non allergenic pillows. Called housekeeping twice, the front desk twice. Finally I went in person to the front desk. They found 1 pillow for me- finally . The room was spacious and accommodating. Clean for the most part. Visible was litter underneath the chair . Location is convenient to the Short Pump Mall.

Really nice property. Room was very large and nice. Bed extremely comfortable and a KING! A good complementary breakfast was provided. Well stocked. Staff was helpful and friendly. Only complaints were that there was no hot water when I wanted to take a shower and the internet was very lagguy.

This hotel has it all! Friendly and professional staff, fabulous breakfast, and is RIGHT BESIDE THE MALL!!! How much better can it get....all this and reasonable rates. This hotel is a great find.

Room Tip: Have stayed in several rooms, the only one NOT great was 315. The flag poles are right outside room and during windy conditions have a tendency to clang.

My husband and I drove up from the Hampton Roads area for a one night getaway and a change if scenery. We were pleased to find a reasonably priced hotel in our Capitol city. We wanted to be close to shopping, dining, and easy access from the interstate. We were pleasantly greeted with a smile from the front desk clerk. Our room was on the third floor in the back facing a pond and condo housing complex. It was relaxing to see the pond in the back with ducks swimming around. The room was adequately furnished with a nice 26" flat screen tv, microwave, fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom was nice with a granite countertop sink with the contemporary open cabintry with toiletries in plain view. There is a desk with internet hook-up, lounge chair sitting area in the same room. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub in the morning before eating the complimentary breakfast. We were disappointed that the breakfast did not offer enough hot choices including a meat and lack of decent pastry selections. There was not any ice-water for a beveage as it was empty. They did not have enough staff checking on the menu items and refilling beverages or empty hot biscuits. They need more staff to be attentive to the breakfast and more choices. the Embassy Suites down the road has similiar rates with free drinks and a much better breakfast. I agree with another reviewer that the pillows are cheap, thus I had a difficult time falling asleep. Needs better linens and pillows. Overall, good for the price but will bring my own pillow next time and plan on circling to see if they can offer better breakfast.
