Had to wait over an hour for room to ready.....missed half of play off game on tv. Chaos at check-in. Paid for a double queen,,,got a twin double. Bathroom cold--had tiny heater--floor freezing cold. Too much road noise. won't recommend

Linden Row Inn is incredibly charming. We got there early and stowed our bags at the front desk while we walked around the Arts District. The area is easily walkable with lots of good restaurants, galleries, and shops.

Our bags were waiting in our room when we got back to the hotel. We were delighted with the value and comfort of our room. We had two closets in which to unpack, a large bedroom with cozy beds and linens, and a nicely sized bathroom. I slept really well each night.

The staff were all super helpful and friendly. We also loved getting to love on the garden cat. The entire experience was warm and charming!

We didn’t get to eat at Parterre, but it looked nice. Outside the hotel, though, we really enjoyed breakfast from Lift Coffee—they have yummy baked goods. The superstar, though, was Perly’s. Oh my goodness!! We ate there twice in our three day stay—so good! The latkes are so flavorful and comforting. I also recommend the corned beef hash benedict—it’s worth a trip to Richmond on its own!

Finally, the Virginia Museum of Fine Art has some excellent works, and the admission is free. Highly recommend!

The inn has a lot of personality. Very nice room, extremely helpful staff and wait staff in the restaurant. The desk staff was very good at giving recommendations for what to do in the city for neophytes.

Not this time, unfortunately. Still a very nice property in a nice downtown location. The problem? My garden room, #232, had a constant loud (and at times changing) drone from what seemed to be an air handler for the entire small building seemingly actually inside the room behind a locked slatted door hiding a utility closet. Sooo annoying. It ran 95% of the time, including all night long. And the periodic changing nature prevented it from possibly serving ok as white noise. I would have mentioned it on check out, but I was not asked how my stay was (or anything else). I will stay again as I have many times, but never in that room and the overall stay was not as good as any of my prior stays. Note: the Urban Farmhouse connected to the lobby is now gone, replaced by a small cozy restaurant that gets good reviews, but it doesn’t appear nearly as convenient for a quick morning coffee as before (note: they did have a Keurig in the room, but I vastly prefer fresh coffee, myself).

Thank you for your review. We are very sorry that you experienced unwanted noise from our air handler. Our maintenance team has been notified and will be looking into the noise further. We do encourage our guests to let our front desk know if you are not satisfied with your room, as we will do our best to help move you to another room based on availability. Our General Manager has attempted to connect with you directly to discuss your experience in further detail. The Linden Row Inn is the perfect example of how our history can be preserved and made accessible. A series of pre-Civil War row houses were converted into a truly charming boutique hotel.

The staff is not just courteous and friendly, but also knowledgeable and helpful, particularly since it was our first visit to Richmond.

If you drive there, leave the car parked and ask for the shuttle. Anita, the driver, was happy to give us a tour of the city along the way and suggest great places. She did not steer us wrong.

If we ever get back to Richmond, we know where we plan to stay.
