Interesting place but not in a good neighborhood. Valet parking never parked our car. We did not receive good advice re: nearby dining. The man at check-out was very unhelpful. This could be a showpiece.

Thank you for your review. We sincerely apologize for failing to meet expectations on aspects of your stay. Our entire team is dedicated to offering superb guest service, and we will certainly utilize your feedback as we continue to seek out opportunities to improve the guest experience.

Regarding our location, we are situated in the heart of Downtown Richmond (within a few blocks radius of the Convention Center, VCU and most of the hotels in Downtown). Our neighborhood is home to some of Richmond's most cherished historic landmarks (e.g., the Jefferson Hotel, Kent-Valentine House, Hippodrome, and Bolling-Haxall House), some of Richmond's most progressive art galleries (e.g., 1708 Gallery, Quirk Gallery), and some of the best restaurants in the region (e.g., Bistro 27, Lemaire, Pasture, and Tarrant's). So, we do hope that you will have a chance to explore the neighborhood in more detail during a future stay.

We look forward to hosting you again soon.

Linden Row provides the charm of a French Quarter, New Orleans Inn in a quiet section of downtown Richmond. The rooms are old but well kept, warm without being musty, and the floors creak a little but you don't hear your neighbors. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with up to date fixtures. A very nice sitting area and garden are located downstairs. Rocking chairs are provided along the back walks for each floor that overlook the garden. It is a short walk to a selection of good bars and restaurants including the four star Lemaire at the Jefferson. My wife and I live in the suburbs and come downtown for the events and dining. Linden Row Inn is our favorite place to stay.

This building appears to have been patched together out of a bunch of historic rowhome-type rooms. You use an old school key (not a card) to get in. The room was furnished with antiques and was clean and warm. I loves the Archive bathroom products. Valet was expensive ($12) but the location seemed ok, I was just passing through from I-95.

Linden Row Inn was a very nice place to stay for our anniversary. It certainly has more character than any run of the mill hotel. The breakfast was a FREE standard continental breakfast. The patio garden was beautiful. We will certainly stay here again.

My husband and I were on a road trip and only stayed here one night. Check-in was easy and welcoming. Our room was HUGE! The furniture was a mix of old and new making more interesting than standard hotel furniture. After walking to a nearby bar for dinks and dinner, we came back to the hotel and discovered the lobby/sitting area is a gallery. The paintings are really interesting. We also discovered that Edgar Allen Poe played in the garden area behind the row houses that make up the Linden Row Inn. Very Cool!!!
They offer secure parking, tea & coffee and breakfast. We left to early to have breakfast.
We would definitely stay here again.

We like Inns on the historic registrar. That being said, we are also much more forgiving of wear and tear when staying in a historic building such as the Linden Row Inn. Like obvious water leaks in the ceiling and seams of the wallpaper curling.

We made these last minute reservations so we wouldn't have to drive home from a late night concert and thought we were going to stay in a queen room in the carriage house. Instead, we stayed in room 413 which was a large king room with two inoperable fireplaces and period pieces. Th flat screen TV was above the fireplace across from bed and a large armoire and a tall dresser provided plenty of room for guests staying any length of time.

Bathroom was completely upgraded and super clean. Bed was on the firm side with contemporary bedding and a blanket. A desk, and two queen anne chairs inhabited the room.

Breakfast was a pleasant surprise - a lot of variety and extremely well displayed and continually being cleaned up. An oatmeal station and two waffle irons, plenty of fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, cereal, pastries and bagels as well as juices, coffee and tea accompanied with real silverware and plates.

I will definitely stay here again - just a lovely place that we didn't properly explore due to time constraints - parlor looked inviting as well as the outside gardens. Staff was very friendly and the valet was convenient.

We stayed one night and had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. We actually live in Richmond and enjoy historic hotels and B&B, though we hadn't thought about staying in our own town! When Living Social offered a great deal for a stay at Linden Row, we couldn't resist! The staff is very friendly and efficient. Our room was on the first floor with windows on Franklin Street. I thought perhaps we might hear street noise during the night - but never heard anything! The room was very large and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. The rooms on higher floors( there is an elevator) were accessed by an outside veranda - very picturesque The breakfast was wonderful - pastries, bagels, waffles, cereals (cold and oatmeal) , juice etc. There were tablecloths and flowers on the tables and nice comfortable chairs. There are numerous restaurants nearby and certainly lots of attractions to visit in Richmond. We had such a great time, that we plan on going back again! Actually while there we saw that they were offering a one night getaway package through Dec. 31, 2014. It addition to a room (kwith wireless, in-town shuttle, breakfast, and fitness access) it includes a $75 gift certificate for lunch of dinner at Bistro Twent Seven Restaurant, a bottle of sparkling wine, and free valet parking. Linden Row is located relatively close to VCU and I imagine at graduation time it will fill up quickly. They also are a wedding venue so there will be times that rooms probably aren't available. So make your reservations early and be prepared to have a wonderful experience!
